Script Arguments
Load a saved settings profile by passing the profile name as a script argument:
MyProfile
This loads <tribot-folder>/nScripts/nSmither/settings/MyProfile.ini and starts immediately without showing the GUI. Useful for automation and automatically starting scripts on clients.
Additional options:
last- Load the most recently used settings- Profiles saved to nScripting.com Settings Storage can also be loaded by name
Requirements
Skill Requirements by Bar Type
| Bar | Smelting Level | Smithing Level |
|---|---|---|
| Bronze | 1 | 1 |
| Iron | 15 | 15 |
| Silver | 20 | — |
| Steel | 30 | 30 |
| Gold | 40 | — |
| Mithril | 50 | 50 |
| Adamant | 70 | 70 |
| Rune | 85 | 85 |
Silver and Gold bars can only be smelted, not smithed into items.
Special Requirements
| Activity | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Cannonballs | 35 Smithing, partial completion of Dwarf Cannon quest (for ammo mould) |
| Superheating | 43 Magic (Superheat Item spell) |
| Port Phasmatys smelting | Ghostspeak amulet equipped |
| Shilo Village furnace | Shilo Village quest completed |
| Neitiznot smelting | The Fremennik Isles quest progress |
| Prifddinas smithing | Song of the Elves quest completed |
Items Required
| Method | Items |
|---|---|
| Smithing | Bars (for selected bar type), Hammer |
| Smelting | Ores (varies by bar type) |
| Cannonballs | Steel bars, Ammo mould (or Double ammo mould) |
| Superheating | Primary ore, Coal (if needed), Nature runes, Fire runes |
How It Works
The script operates in a loop, performing one action per cycle for responsiveness:
- Check supplies - Verifies required materials are in inventory
- Bank if needed - Deposits products, withdraws supplies
- Travel - Walks to anvil/furnace if not already there
- Process - Clicks anvil/furnace, selects item, waits for completion
- Repeat or Restock - If out of supplies and restocking is enabled, travels to GE
Automatic Item Selection
When using the Automatic item setting for smithing, the script selects the best XP/bar item you can make with your current level. The progression follows this pattern for each bar type:
| Item | Level Offset | Bars |
|---|---|---|
| Dagger | +0 | 1 |
| Scimitar | +5 | 2 |
| Warhammer | +9 | 3 |
| Platebody | +18 | 5 |
The level offset is added to the bar's base level. For example, with Steel (base 30):
- Steel Dagger at level 30
- Steel Scimitar at level 35
- Steel Warhammer at level 39
- Steel Platebody at level 48
Settings Reference
Smithing Method Tab
The main configuration tab has two sub-tabs:
Basic - Single Item
For training one specific item continuously.
Method Type
- Smith: Use bars at an anvil to create items
- Smelt: Use ores at a furnace to create bars (or cannonballs)
- Superheat: Cast Superheat Item spell on ores (no furnace needed)
Location
Smithing locations:
- Varrock West
- Seers Village
- Void Outpost
- Yanille
- Prifddinas
Smelting locations:
- Edgeville
- Al Kharid
- Falador
- Port Phasmatys
- Neitiznot
- Shilo Village
Bar Select which bar type to work with (Bronze through Rune). Silver and Gold are available for smelting only.
Item
- For Smithing: Select specific item or Automatic for best XP/bar
- For Smelting: Bars or Cannonballs (cannonballs only available with Steel)
Progressive - Multiple Items
Chain multiple tasks together for automated 1-99 training.
Enable Progressive Mode Activates the progression system. When enabled, the script follows entries in order.
Progression List Shows all progression entries. Entries are executed top-to-bottom. You can drag and drop to reorder, or use keyboard shortcuts to move entries.
Buttons:
- New Entry: Create a custom progression entry
- Edit Selected: Modify an existing entry (double-click also works)
- Delete Selected: Remove selected entry
- Clear Entries: Remove all entries
- Ez-Add 1-99: Populate a full 1-99 progression using Automatic item selection at Varrock West
Each progression entry can have a stop condition:
- Level: Stop when reaching a smithing level
- XP: Stop after gaining specific XP amount
- Resources: Stop after processing N items
- Runtime: Stop after N seconds
Grand Exchange Restocking Tab
Automatically buys supplies and sells products when you run out.
Enable Grand Exchange restocking When checked, the script will travel to the GE when supplies run out.
Sell smithing product(s) when restocking When checked, sells the items you create before buying new supplies. Disable this for items that aren't worth selling.
Max Purchase Quantity Limits how many items worth of supplies to buy at once. The script uses an algorithm to determine optimal quantities; this setting provides an upper bound.
Item Prices List Configure buy/sell prices for each item. Double-click an item to set:
- Buy price strategy (guide price, +X%, +X gp, instant buy)
- Sell price strategy (guide price, -X%, -X gp, instant sell)

Troubleshooting
"We do not have enough bars to continue"
Fix: Add more bars to your bank or enable GE Restocking on the Grand Exchange Restocking tab.
"We do not have enough ores to continue"
Fix: Add more ores to your bank or enable GE Restocking.
"We do not have a hammer"
Fix: Add a hammer to your bank. The script will withdraw it automatically.
"We have run out of rings of forging"
Fix: Add rings of forging to bank, or disable the "Use ring of forging" setting in Advanced Settings > Actions > Efficiency.
"Must have ghostspeak amulet to smelt at port phasmatys"
Fix: Equip a ghostspeak amulet before starting, or choose a different smelting location.
"Superheating bronze bars not supported"
Fix: Select Iron or higher bar type for superheating. Bronze cannot be superheated.
"We do not have enough runes" / "We have run out of ore" / "We have run out of coal"
Fix: Add nature runes and fire runes to bank for superheating, or add the missing ores. Equipping a staff of fire reduces rune costs.
"We don't have enough coins to fill shilo village coffer"
Fix: Add coins to bank for the Shilo Village furnace fee, or choose a different location.
"We don't have a games necklace to teleport" / "We don't have a fally tab to teleport"
Fix: Add games necklaces or Falador teleport tabs to bank for the Dwarf Cannon quest. Alternatively, configure teleport options in Advanced Settings > Cannonballs > Dwarf Cannon to use different teleport items.
Getting Help
If you run into issues not covered in Troubleshooting:
- Generate a bug report - In TRiBot: Dev Tab → Generate Bug Report (includes logs, settings, and screenshot)
- Post on Discord - Share the zip and describe what happened vs. what you expected at discord.gg/BFtypSSbjp
For issues that are hard to capture in a screenshot, a short screen recording helps.
Tips
-
Ring of Forging for Iron: Enable this in Advanced Settings when smelting iron bars. Without it, you have only 50% success rate per ore. The ring gives 140 charges of guaranteed success.
-
Double Ammo Mould: If you have access to Giants' Foundry, the double ammo mould doubles cannonball production speed (8 cannonballs per bar instead of 4). The script automatically uses it if found in bank.
-
Varrock West: The closest anvil to a bank in F2P areas. Good default choice for smithing and used by the Ez-Add 1-99 progression.
-
Edgeville Furnace: Very close to bank, good for smelting.
-
Progression Mode: Use this for efficient leveling. The Ez-Add 1-99 button creates an optimal progression using Automatic item selection, which always picks the highest XP/bar item you can make.
-
Keep Bars Noted: For cannonballs, enabling "Keep bars noted in inventory" lets you unnote at bankers without opening the bank interface, which can be faster.
