Table of Contents

Quick Start

  1. Complete at least 5 quests with NMZ bosses (see Requirements)
  2. Deposit coins into the NMZ coffer (or enable auto-fill)
  3. Set up your inventory in-game with desired potions:
    • Absorption potions and/or overloads
    • Rock cake or locator orb (for 1 HP absorption method)
    • Optional: Prayer potions, food, spec weapon
  4. Start the script near the Nightmare Zone entrance (north-west of Yanille bank)
  5. Click "Load Current Inventory" in the GUI
  6. Click Start - the script handles everything else

Note: The script automatically determines behavior based on your inventory. If you have overloads, it will use them. If you have prayer potions, it will drink them and enable Protect from Melee.

Script Arguments

Load a saved settings profile by passing the profile name as a script argument:

MyProfile

This loads <tribot-folder>/nScripts/nNightmareZoneV3/settings/MyProfile.ini and starts immediately without showing the GUI. Useful for automation and automatically starting scripts on clients.

Additional options:

  • last - Load the most recently used settings
  • Profiles saved to nScripting.com Settings Storage can also be loaded by name

Requirements

Quest Requirements

You must complete at least 5 quests with NMZ bosses. The more quests completed, the more bosses available.

Common starter quests (easy bosses for melee training):

  • Vampire Slayer (Count Draynor)
  • What Lies Below (King Roald)
  • Mountain Daughter (The Kendal)
  • Tree Gnome Village (Khazard Warlord)
  • Fight Arena (Bouncer)
  • Lost City (Tree Spirit)
  • Holy Grail (Black Knight Titan)
  • Dragon Slayer I (Elvarg)

Recommended Items

Item Purpose
Dwarven rock cake Lower HP to 1 for absorption method (deals ~10% of current HP)
Locator orb Alternative to rock cake (deals exactly 10 damage)
Absorption potions Primary damage mitigation
Overload potions +5-19 stat boost for 5 minutes
Prayer potions For prayer-based methods

Starting Position

Start the script near the Nightmare Zone entrance (north-west of Yanille bank). The script can teleport there via the minigame teleport if needed.

How It Works

The script follows this cycle:

  1. Travel to NMZ - Uses minigame teleport if not already there
  2. Restock potions - Withdraws potions from barrels using reward points
  3. Fill coffer - Deposits coins if enabled and needed
  4. Enter dream - Talks to Dominic Onion, selects game type and bosses
  5. Combat loop - While inside the arena:
    • Drinks absorptions when protection drops below threshold
    • Drinks overloads when buff expires (requires 51+ HP)
    • Uses rock cake/locator orb to lower HP to 1
    • Flicks Rapid Heal to prevent HP regeneration
    • Activates power-ups when they spawn
    • Uses special attacks (if configured)
    • Drinks prayer potions (if using prayer method)
  6. Leave dream - When out of supplies or conditions met
  7. Repeat - Restocks and re-enters

Absorption Method (Recommended)

The most efficient NMZ training method:

  1. Drink absorptions to gain protection points (up to 1,000)
  2. Lower HP to 1 using rock cake or locator orb
  3. Flick Rapid Heal to prevent natural HP regeneration
  4. Each hit only removes 1 absorption point (since you're at 1 HP)
  5. Drink overloads for massive stat boosts

Troubleshooting

"We don't have enough gold in our coffer to continue"

Cause: The NMZ coffer has insufficient funds and auto-fill is disabled.

Fix: Either deposit coins manually into the NMZ coffer, or enable "Fill coffer" in Advanced Settings > Game Setup > Coffer.

"We are trying to withdraw potions that we don't have space for"

Cause: Your inventory is full when trying to restock potions from the NMZ barrels.

Fix: Ensure your inventory setup has space for the potions you're trying to withdraw.

"We don't have enough of item X"

Cause: A gear item in your setup is missing from your bank or inventory.

Fix: Ensure all configured gear items are available. Enable GE Restocking to automatically purchase missing items.

"Cannot teleport to NMZ"

Cause: Unable to use the NMZ minigame teleport.

Fix: Ensure you meet the Nightmare Zone requirements (5+ quests completed with NMZ bosses).

"An item has degraded"

Cause: A degradable item (like Dharok's equipment) has fully degraded.

Fix: Enable "Repair gear" in Advanced Settings, or remove degraded item IDs from the degraded items list.

"Failed to set attack style after many attempts"

Cause: The script was unable to change your combat style.

Fix: Check that the attack style index is valid for your weapon (0-3). Verify the combat tab is accessible.

"Pin bot failed"

Cause: Bank PIN entry timed out.

Fix: Ensure your bank PIN is configured correctly in TRiBot settings.

"Failed to select bosses... (a selected boss might not be available)"

Cause: Cannot select the configured bosses - a selected boss might not be unlocked.

Fix: Verify all selected bosses are unlocked (their quests are completed). You need at least 5 bosses for customizable rumble.

"Our blowpipe is out of charges or darts"

Cause: Your blowpipe needs refilling but the refill option is disabled.

Fix: Enable blowpipe refilling in Advanced Settings > Equipment & Gear > Item Refilling (or Legacy Blowpipe Settings), and configure dart type and quantities.

"We have run out of ammo/runes/thrown ammunition"

Cause: No arrows, bolts, runes, or throwing weapons remaining in your equipment or bank.

Fix: Ensure ammunition/runes are in your bank or enable GE Restocking to purchase more.

Getting Help

If you run into issues not covered in Troubleshooting:

  1. Generate a bug report - In TRiBot: Dev Tab → Generate Bug Report (includes logs, settings, and screenshot)
  2. Post on Discord - Share the zip and describe what happened vs. what you expected at discord.gg/BFtypSSbjp

For issues that are hard to capture in a screenshot, a short screen recording helps.

Tips

  • Use Hard Customizable Rumble with easy melee-only bosses (Count Draynor, King Roald, The Kendal, Trapped Soul, Sand Snake) for maximum points with minimal danger.

  • The absorption + 1 HP method is the most efficient approach. Configure rock cake range to 2-4 HP so the script keeps you at 1 HP.

  • Enable Rapid Heal flicking to prevent natural HP regeneration. HP regenerates every 60 seconds, so flick before then.

  • Power Surge + Special Attack is extremely effective. Enable "Use spec when power surge active" and bring a spec weapon like Dragon Claws or Granite Maul.

  • Configure backup inventories if your primary potion types might run out. The script will switch to alternatives automatically.

  • Use the Progression system to train multiple combat stats in one session. Set entries like "Train Strength until level 70, then switch to Attack."

  • Buy herb boxes daily (15 max) for passive profit. Each box contains 10 random grimy herbs.

  • For Dharok's training, the script automatically detects Dharok's equipment and handles degradation. Make sure to enable repair gear or have replacement pieces.
