Why Guardians of the Rift?
The Guardians of the Rift minigame was introduced to offer an alternative Runecrafting training method. It provides:

• One of the fastest reliable ways from 27-99 Runecrafting
• XP rates of 20k to 60k xp/hour
• Profit rates from 100k gp/hour to 600k gp/hour, dependent on levels and quests (see below)
• One of the easiest and fastest ways for ironman accounts to get large numbers of runes with no preparation time
• Valuable, meta-defining rewards, including:
• Abyssal Needle – allows the creation of the Colossal Pouch, which combines all of the other pouches into one and boosts Runecrafting rates
• Raiments of the Eye – a Runecrafting skilling set that gives 60% bonus runes when Runecrafting – this is a 60% flat profit increase
• Ring of the Elements – gives a direct teleport to any of the elemental altars, allowing Lava Rune Runecrafting to generate 150k xp/hour
• Guardian’s Eye – recolours the Runecrafting pet as the elder guardian
• Grants Mining and Crafting XP that adds up over time quickly
