Todd's Custom Runelite Launcher

I'm naive to how the client detection works for Runescape... Is using an unofficial Runelite going to be any better than just using the Tribot client?

The client is undetected. However... The LG project future-proofs TRiBot.
People argue about the current benefits of LG. You'll need to play around with it for yourself.

Personally I never use LG.

It's also not an unofficial RuneLite client. It's just a modified launcher for RuneLite.
It's the same as how you run the TRiBot launcher (where you login with your TRiBot credentials) and then the TRiBot client is loaded after you login.

Thanks, this works without issues. I'm just wondering, since when has Tribot worked with RuneLite? I thought their client was so modified that the hooks didn't work.

it always has worked, if it didnt work for you, you could have been using 64bit instead of 32bit

Is there a more permanent fix yet ?

I doubt there will be one anytime soon if ever; with the way RuneLite changed their launcher we either need to maintain our own or distribute a modified OpenJDK to use.

What did RuneLite change? Sounds interesting :D

RuneLite added an argument to their launcher config that blocks the Java attach API, which is the library that Looking Glass uses to hook onto RS Clients.

Yes,

Automated booting/loading of looking-glass compatible clients.
Currently, Auto-boot for Runelite and OSBuddy are completed for MacOS/Windows/Linux file systems. Runelite is back and working in full. (Currently for us dev's only)
This "auto-boot LG" update is not detectable and it fully addresses the update which broke LG for runelite, as well as a few other compatibility issues users have been seeing (not to mention ease of use).

Will users be able to use Runelite-distributed jars as well as custom-built jars? Also Todd had mentioned distributing special OpenJDK, will this be needed?
