Living on autopilot

Recommended Posts

Do any of you guys ever just live on autopilot

Like you don't feel like a person but your body is still getting them endorphins so you just kinda chug along

I figured id ask cause people who play alot of video games seem like they do that more often and it's something I do alot.

That was me while I played league of legends :P. Not a fun state of mind so I dragged my ass back up to a better state. Still a work in progress. You tryna get out or are you ok being comfortable as is?

Your name made me think of league so I assumed you play(ed). Greatest discovery for me in league was using mute/all haha. No more arguments defending/attacking people I don't know.

I can't imagine how hard cptsd must be to live with. If you're ever interested in learning about new ways to get out of that autopilot, holler :). I experiment a ton (with ideas though, not drugs/medication)

This "state" of mind is painfully relatable for me. There are periods when this gloom disappears for a few months(late spring and early summer are the months to feel alive for me), but I know that it will reappear at some point, most usually on the cold season. Might be related with vitamin D and lack of physical activity, tho.

There's such a negative stigma to anti-depressants but don't let that get between you and feeling better.  There are so many different kinds out there, try to find something that works.  You don't have to be on them forever, just when things don't feel quite right.  We live in a world where chemicals fuck with our natural state so much, but people refuse to use chemicals to get back to where they should be.

I've managed to pull myself out of depression without finding any drugs that helped.  What worked for me was finding a community...  I love music festivals/raves.  I found a group at my university that does flow toys/gloving and started taking dance lessons. Being around people turned my life and my mentality around...  I started going out more, going to parties.  I ended up finding a girl and getting married. I'm one of the most introverted people I know.  It was really hard to force myself to get out there and do stuff but  it was completely worth it.

Good luck to anyone out there who's struggling!
