Java heap space - Ran out - small percentage of my bots

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I'm running a few bots, and there is probably a 5-10% ratio of some of my bots getting black screened and having java heap space, iv used 256, 512, 768, 1024, and nothing seems to work, and it's only on a very small number of accounts, 2-3/50,  I have tried uping/lowering Heap, any other ideas guys,

Cheers

Do other script users complain about the same issue? If so it's likely a rare bug within the script itself, not your settings. If it's a private or local script, check to see if the java heap size gradually increases. You can do this by going to thge Debug tab and enabling the "Heap space" option. Then observe the number displayed and compare the scripts that run out of memory to those that don't. If the heap space is significantly different, then it's likely a rare issue within the script and it should be reported to the writer.

Just so happens all the accounts it was happening on had sounds on, I think that would be it sir! Thank you so much

You're welcome, let me know if this fixed the problem.

@IceKontroI is also right, this could very well be a script issue, but I think it's very hard for a script that consists mostly of API calls to cause a memory leak. As far I know, this issue can be solved by disabling the game sounds because there is a RuneScape bug that occurs when running on systems that don't have sound drivers installed.
