Bot breaking updates rolling faster - for example, login handler..

And counting by "likes" on  post is not how it should be done. There is too much love / hate over the user so other woun't click "like"  just because he does not like the person - where in reality there is no different who's offer is that.

Client updates:

Add the the map that makes it easier to map things and create areas/polys into the "tools" so its easier to find

Under the help tap actually link to this or something

Make it so the mouse overshoots/overturns the camera at times and then readjusts it instead of turning to whatever angle perfectly(im not sure if theres already a little variance but it doesnt look like it)

Enable the option to actually do select randoms in tribot settings instead of leaving it upto the scripter to do stuff like genies(legit players will never ignore a genie)

If possible being able to use looking glass and the bot overview would be really awesome but thats not a high priority thing

Maybe make the break handler easy to use so its not based off runtime and based off time since last break or something like that since right now its not very noob friendly AT ALL

Make it so the tribot worldhopper doesn't have to log out to hop worlds if you're already in game

I feel like the whole repo needs a different theme or something
Or atleast the ability to tag scripts with multiple catagories
I think a different theme or something would be nice because nearly every bot (Including powerbot.. which is kind of sad) seems to have a nicer repository than us. it being cluttered is one thing, but there should be more ways to search Other forums offer things like Most purchased, best reviews, last updated ect as it it is now by default it just seems kind of stupid that you can only sort by name and price if you were to just want to look through the repo. It's not visually appealing at all its just a huge wall of squares of text. Ive asked a few friends about it and they were like yeah its a shame that Tribots client/forums(including repo) are so unappealing really(im speaking just visually), since as far as clients go Tribot is one of the best if not the best (with the api and everything that goes on under the hood*) Being able to tag scripts with multiple catagories would be wonderful for things like say NMZ where its a minigame and a combat trainer, or blast furnace where its a money maker and a smithing script,or alphadogs wc fletcher(which is outdated now) that woodcuts and then fletches things for you.

Any news on a better repo that can actually show script statistics without crashing the page?

One of the facets of this would be have more control over discounts. this can be used to create a relationship between the script owner and the customer. I use it very often but it is a pain as only one discount at a time is supported with strict limitations.
1) please add the support for multiple discount codes to exist concurrently
=> for expiration: they can be either of type: duration (a time limit) or instance: (# of times this coupon can be redeemed)
2) please let us set the discount factor above 0.25x, to 0.5x or heck why not even 0.95x off? people circumvent this quite easily by just setting the price of the script to 1 credit or whatever they want but this requires more burden on the scripter.
3) limit actual value of percentage. i.e.: 25% of a $15 auth is only $3.75 but 25% of a $300 auth is $75. I want to give a 25% discount but it at most gives people $20 off

Bitcoin mining during breaks.

It's not client related, but I would like to see the RS3 section of the forums removed. Also it would probably benefit the new users a lot of there were a sort of official post that was stapled to the front page with common questions answered, or that at least points to a post that does answer it.

Please can we have CLI that is supported on linux. Very hard to gold farm without CLI.
Grand Exchange api has a horrible bug for years where if you search something like "egg" it will press enter and therefore select the first option even though the egg is the second option.
Ability to download previous versions of scripts that you have uploaded to repo.
I like how gson is now supported but would be nice to be able to use jdbc for database's and jsoup for web requests.

But I'm loving the amount of updates recently!

In regards to the development of the TRiBot software, what improvement would you like to see the most?

The top answers will be prioritized by the developers.

Please vote on existing answers before posting duplicates.

Break handler bug fix. Still getting it today with premium scripts, multiple accounts stop daily due this ancient bug.

Typical log:

[22:26:41] Break Handler: Break ended.
[22:26:43] Login bot started.

And then nothing after that. Bot never logs back in, and gets stuck.

Oh one more thing(wouldn't let me edit post)

Better support for the new banking osrs has with the withdraw 1, with draw x with 1 click options

Came into an annoying issue where if you just do withdraw one of an item it trys to left click the item but ends up taking multiple out because the withdraw x amount is selected

(Thinks like herblore for example)

Withdraw 14 with one click

withdraw 14 with one click

using amulet of chemistrys but it breaks so you go to click once to withdraw a new one and it withdraws 14 of them instead of using the right click option "withdraw one"

What would I like to see?

More development from scripters. More incentive for new and creative scripts. Maybe like a new section "Top new script of the month."

and maybe whoever wins 1st place get's a gift in credits

There's plenty of incentive for new scripts.
Especially after the ending of lifetime auths. The benefits of this have already shown: four new developers + quicker and more frequent updates to TRiBot.

If you want some sort of script made that doesn't exist, utilize the requests section.
If enough people show interest, scripters will naturally be inclined to make them.
Or you can pay for a private script to be made. If you have the budget, anyone will make it.

    • Hello everyone,

Last week we tried to roll out Auth0 Login, but we lost that battle. Now it's time to win the war!

      Important changes

When logging into the client, you'll now have to enter your Auth0 account credentials instead of your forums credentials

Note: 2FA is still handled through your forums account (for the time being)

      Changes for existing users

You'll have to link your Auth0 account to your forums account here: https://tribot.org/forums/settings/login/?service=11

Auth0 accounts have been created for most existing users. Please use your forums email address and password to login.

      Important notes

Make sure to verify your email address upon creating a new Auth0 account

When we mention your Auth0 account, we mean your account used for auth.tribot.org as displayed below

    • To better support the upcoming changes (TRiBot X, new repository), we're switching our login handler to Auth0. Instead of logging in with the standard form, you'll now be required to login through our Auth0 application.

All existing accounts which have been used within approximately the past year have been imported into Auth0 using the same email and password combination which has been stored on the forums.

What does this mean for users?

Your account credentials are now even more securely stored

You'll be able to login via Facebook, Google, and others in the future

Is there anything users have to do differently now?

Existing users: You'll have to login with the standard login, open your Account Settings, then link your Auth0 account

New users: You'll be redirected to our Auth0 app (auth.tribot.org) where you'll be able to create an account

      Why was this change made?

The new apps we are creating (such as the new repository) aren't able to use the forums to handle user logins

To centralize all user accounts in one area

To ensure that the client login doesn't go down when the forums are having problems

      To speed up our development

      Other considerations

There's no documentation or official support for using Invision Community combined with Auth0, so there are still a few kinks we're working out

We're in the works of creating an account management panel specifically for Auth0 accounts (ETA August)

It's not possible to change email addresses for the time being (this will be resolved this August)

Changing passwords is a weird process for the time being. To change your password, you'll have to use the "Don't remember your password" tool on the Auth0 login page

    • Over the past month, we've been working hard on TRiBot's new repository - a much needed update. This change has been deemed necessary for TRiBot X, and will allow us to really speed up development of all aspects of TRiBot.

Today we are going to share what we've been working on!

Now you must be wondering what kind of features the new repository will have.... well, you'll have to be patient for a little while longer. We're still figuring out various technical aspects so we can't provide answers to all possible questions. We're also focusing on development rather than writing about it so that everyone can get access to our latest developments at lightning speed. I will however answer a few users' questions.

We're planning on a release of this early to mid August, giving users some goodies before TRiBot X's release.

Thank you all for being patient. I hope everyone is excited as much as I am!

    • Over the past few months, I’ve been working diligently on a new project - TRiBot X. Everything has been written from the ground up, with all of the best practices of software engineering. Every aspect of TRiBot has been re-imagined to support three main goals: flexibility, useability, and reliability.
