September 27th Skilling Update

Recommended Posts

Wow! We can one click "Withdraw X" now! I think this will make fletching/herblore/etc. scripts easier to create and emulate legit play now that we can click once to "Withdraw 14." Anyone else really happy about this? Jagex rules for this. Can anyone think of other applications that are now possible with this new update?

Also, shouts out to Encoded for getting TriBot back and fully functional the same day as the update as well! Was afraid I'd have to go to sleep without getting my daily hours of Wintertodt botting in 🤣

it's not fully working as there is still some broken scripts.

And i think you have no idea about scripting and bans if you think this update will make any difference : D

Look, I know telling people they have "no idea about scripting" is the cool thing to do around here, but all I was saying is that now, scripters can code fletching and herblore scripts slightly differently. And as a result, in my opinion (my opinion alone), I think it will make things easier on the writers. Because they don't have to right click the items in the bank anymore and drag the cursor down to the "Withdraw 14" option, they can just left click the item and be done. That obviously makes things slightly easier on script writers when creating fletching/herblore/etc. scripts that withdraw items to fill half the inventory.

As far as avoiding bans, I just meant that it's less actions the script has to do to successfully train the skill. And in my little understanding, less actions to do to train the skill = less things Jagex can use as evidence to say you're botting.

Excuse my poor grammar.

Agreed. I can see where you're coming from. It definitely will help bans lower. +1

That's what I'm thinking! I didn't want to make this thread to say "omg guys skilling scripts have been changed forevar!11!" but rather just to say that things have been simplified for both the legit player and the illegitimate player. Also wanted other people to throw their two cents in :)
