Need help, slow client

Recommended Posts

Why is this client so fucking slow and buggy?  Is there a setting or not enough memory allocation?

No, it's not my internet or computer - before you guys go talking about that.

What is the heap size when you first start up? It's set at 386MB, I tried putting it at 500MB, but I still did not see an increase in performance.

The client overall seems very sluggish, mouse movements are choppy (same with the camera).

Can anyone help me please?

You have to give a more detailed feedback...

What's your computer specifications?

What java version are you using?

How much percentage of memory and CPU is allocated to tribot alone when you're running whatever script you're running now (Task Manager)?

What script are you running?

To add to the above: are you using Looking Glass or the regular client?

In order to determine if the problem is caused by an insufficient heap size, enable this and see if the current size is close to the maximum threshold:

Java JDK1.8.0_171

Computer was restarted several times as well.

Using regular client.

Script is Zulrah helper - but the client is laggy even without the script running.

Heap Space - turned on: 220MB-290MB/373MB

Task manager - 17%-20% CPU, 330MB

I know you can't mention other clients, but I've tried different ones and this one and DB do the same thing (performance wise), OB runs smoothly, runelite runs smoothly.

Tried it again today, seemed a little better, but it still doesn't feel the same.

I'll post specs.  I know it's older but I can run 4 - 5 clients botting just fine.

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Processor 3.20GHz

16GB DDR 3 RAM

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770

250GB SSD, 5TB secondary drive

Are you talking about the client having low FPS? If so, have you tried lowering your client paint delay?

Not sure what it is by default but if it's high (to save resources) that causes low fps.

Figured out how to display FPS.  I'm getting 20-23 FPS.

RuneLite giving me 40 FPS.

Client paint delay is all the way at 0.

@Einstein Any idea why I'm getting such low FPS on the client?

Not really.

This is usually a problem on Looking Glass, but since you're using the regular client, I am not sure why this is happening. Things you could try:

  • Try using a different Java verison
  • Delete all the Jagex files (including the cache)
  • Backup the important files, delete the entire .tribot folder, and restart the client twice

The problem is not caused by the following:

  • The maximum heap space that you've allocated is more than enough for running any script.
  • You computer is powerful enough to handle any script.

If anything else fails, you could try submitting a ticket here: https://help.tribot.org/support/home
