Hi I was just wondering how do I run a script so that it stops after x amount of hours running and logs out?

You can achieve that by using the break handler.

final long scriptStop = System.currentTimeMillis() + (60 /**seconds*/ * 1000 /** milliseconds */ * MINUTES_TO_RUN);
if (System.currentTimeMillis() >= scriptStop)
    running = false;

Wow genius programmer.

The only problem is that your code is worthless, your conventions are off, and he only asked how to stop his scripts after a certain amount of time and the question has already been answered.

Wow props to Einstein! My conventions are off, two lines, wow

Based on the content of the OP and the sub-forum in which he posted this thread, the user is not trying to code his own scripts. He was told to use the break handler, and after saying that he is looking for a different way, another user suggested to terminate the process using an external program.

Nobody asked for your useless code.
