That looks like the folder that is created when you install Java. I'm not sure why it isn't in one of your Program Files directories, as it should have been put there automatically.

it is hasn't been installed yet. I can't find the install .exe in the folder.

You can't find the installation program because it's not there. You are currently browsing the folders that contain an already installed JRE, which most likely was not installed correctly judging by its location.

Delete everything, download and run the .exe installer from here: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jre8-downloads-2133155.html

it wasn't a .exe file, I was browsing older versions of java to get looking glass to work, it was a .tar file.

like if I could get someone to just teamview this shit and get me up and working with looking glass i'd be very grateful take a weight of my shoulders.

That's exactly what I said. You will not find any installer in those folders.

The JRE contained within is ready to be used.

Because those are the Java release versions that work with Looking Glass.

You have just downloaded a ready-to-use Java Runtime Environment. You do not need to install anything, because the software is already unpacked and is ready to be used.

This problem is caused by today's game update and has nothing to do with your setup.

To future readers, archived Java versions can be downloaded from the Oracle Archive if you create an account on their website. Or, browse the JDK archives on FileHippo here

tribot had an update and and I click start script and it doesn't do anything the script window just sits there wont close off.

First I launch osbuddy then I launch tribot in the jdk 64bit, then I click new looking glass, then I login to the runscape client of tribot while osbuddy is minimized away. and I start script press start and nothing happens,
