Clients freeze/blackscreen on VNC login

Recommended Posts

I'm having an issue on my linux server where I connect with VNC, startup the client and script and everything works fine. Even when I close out of the VNC my bot continues to run fine, but when I log back into the VNC (to checkup or whatever) it crashes the client and logs the bot out. I have all power management settings turned off, and have no idea why this is happening or how to fix it. It dosn't disable my farm, but is extremely annoying having to restart the client every time I want to check up on the bot. Thanks!

You said when you log in to the vnc the client crashes and logs the bot out but then you said it doesn't disable your farm.
also by log out you're saying the bot actually logs out and then crashes or something? or it disconnects and then crashes or it logs out because the client has crashed and obviously if the client isnt running it won't be logged in?

Also you said it happens when you log in to the vnc to "checkup or whatever". Have you tried setting up the bot, getting out of the vnc and then immediately logging back in to the vnc?

No after I setup from the bot, I can disconnect from the VNC and the bot will continue as normal. It only crashes when I reconnect to the VNC. Thats when the client/bot crashes. It might not be a tribot issue, though. It could be an issue with my VPS.

Edit: yes. If I close out of the VNC, then reconnect very quickly the bot won't crash. That narrows down the problem a little bit

Ok so straight away you know that connecting to the vnc is not the problem, because you can connect, disconnect and re-connect without any problems, its only when you wait a while and come back it crashes.  I would say its a power saving issue if the screen is going black but obviously not if the screen is visible and you know the clients are crashing.
firstly what version of linux are u using? centos 6,7 debian 7,8 ect

also explain exactly what you mean by crashing. Right now Im assuming you start up the bots, quit the vnc and then like 30 mins or an hour later you log back in and either all the clients have frozen and are not responding or they have all disappeared because they crashed. what do you see when you log in?
also try adding one of the bots as a friend on an account u can run on ur main computer and make sure its online then log in to the vnc and see what happens

Running Ubuntu 17. I already ran to where the bot was to see what happens when I log into the VNC. The bot just disconnects from runescape as soon as I log in, and when I log into the VNC screen either A. The client is frozen or B. The client is blackscreened/frozen. If I try to open a new bot or do anything on the client It barely works and is extremely slow.I have to close the client and open a new one.

Hi I got a proxy server from Virmach. I cannot seem to get Tribot to connect to it. I have gotten a 3rd party internet browser called Maxthus to get it to work so I don't think that its the server that's not working. Yes I have VIP-E as well. Please help thanks!

I really love the process of developing a script, testing it, debugging it, etc.. So after writing my first really simple script that would tan hides, I got my first botting account banned, which is something I knew was gonna happen since my lack of scripting knowledge. Im ready to get a new one up and going and continue to develop more basic scripts to sharpen my scripting skills. Im sharing my first script here and looking to hear what I should do and should not do. Also get some tips on what to look for to reduce the banning rates of my testing accounts. The account I was using was only combat lvl 5 and didnt have any quests done, I guess that didnt help too? I was also about to introduce ABC2 into the script and learn how to use it but my account got banned right before I could implement it. So looking forward to hear your criticisms about my script and tips to not get the script bannable. Also have in mind I didnt really refactor anything, some parts may look ugly, beware!

Debian 7.0 VPS Setup Guide for TRiBot Botting.
      By: Flax

Hey guys today I'm going to show you how to setup a VPS for TRiBot botting, I'm making it because I got so many questions from people about this & most VPS guides here are pretty outdated.
Make sure your VPS operating system is Debian 7 32 or 64bit, or else this guide will not work for you!
      Okay, let's begin.

First off you'll need these programs:
      - PuTTy
      - TightVNC Viewer
Once you've downloaded those files we can begin setting up your VPS.

Step 1: Open PuTTy and enter your IP and click connect (You should keep the port 22)

Step 2: Now a command prompt will pop up and it'll ask you for a username, Type ' root ' and after that it'll ask you for a password, type in the password that was given to you by your VPS provider.

Step 3: Now you should enter the following commands one-by-one, it can take awhile to install depending on the speed:
apt-get update apt-get install curl curl https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/jabcbltmn5fuevx/install.sh | sh apt-get install iceweasel Step 4: After that's done you should be able to connect with the VPS through TightVNC.
REMEMBER: MAKE SURE TO ADD :1 BEHIND THE IP.

This is how it should look:
Once connected, you can download TRiBot/OSBuddy via the Iceweasel browser(similiar to Firefox).

If you're unable to open TRiBot, try this:

Tengo un problema ya que compré un script premium.
Es que después de que el bot se ejecuta durante 2 horas, se detiene.
y cuando intentó ejecutar el bot de nuevo, me muestra el error que se muestra en la imagen.
Es un bot increíble, pero tengo ese problema ya que lo tengo y es desalentador

Como el bot no funciona más de 2 horas , le pedí ayuda al creador del bot, pero él respondió que ya es un problema con tribot.

      AYUDA

      Hello my knowledgeable friends,
Ive botted about 3 accounts to max combat and ran small gold farms but lately I really interested in learning how to script myself so I can give back to the awesome community and start goldfarming on a professional level. That being said ive got some questions.Little background check, im a total noob when in comes to programming languages.
      - ive read that learning Java is a must. But what I don't understand is do I need to learn everything about java or just parts that are relevant to scripting for Tribot. Do I have to take a course or to do a deep dive like enlisting in an education  or is learning Java just for Tribot enough?
      - If a book is preferable, do you have any recognmendations?
      - after being proficiant in Java ive read I still need to learn how to script for Tribot specifically. Is this a long process?
      - I know this is a difficult question to answer but how long do you guys recon this process will take in hours learning Java and scripting for Tribot? Ive got about 2/3 hours to spare a day and about 5/7 on weekends
      - Also is there a discord with like minded people out there looking to learn java/tribot and also one for goldfarmer (not gonna ask for methods lol)

Sorry for the long and nooby questions. Hope you guys can point me in the right direction.
Any constructive comments are greatly appriciated.
      Cheers,
      IDKFA

    • Over the past few months, I’ve been working diligently on a new project - TRiBot X. Everything has been written from the ground up, with all of the best practices of software engineering. Every aspect of TRiBot has been re-imagined to support three main goals: flexibility, useability, and reliability.

    • TRiBot is looking to improve a lot of its customer relationship management, customer on boarding process, customer experience, design elements, community engagement and pretty much everything else you can imagine when it comes to marketing.

Our goal: To ensure that the marketing done TRULY reflects the experience and does not shine an inaccurate light on what TRiBot is lacking in.

So I ask, what do you love about TRiBot and what do you hate about TRiBot? What does O S Bot, Rune M8, PowR Bot and Dre amBot do better? (yes I purposely didn't spell it right 😂).

      Love,

      RileyZ

    • Over the last three weeks, I've been working on upgrading our server infrastructure. It's finally ready and is now live!

      Why?

Increased reliability - less server errors

      Increased availability - less downtime

Increased security - keeping us and you secure

Increased capacity - ability to serve you better

Increased speed - less waiting for things to load

Faster development - server and service updates will come faster

      What are the changes?

Move from a single AWS EC2 instance to AWS ECS (Elastic Container Service)

      Distributed computing

      Load balancing

Git management of server files and filesystem

      Redis caching

      How?

AWS ECS (with 10 EC2 instances)

      AWS ElastiCache (Redis)

      AWS Load Balancing

      AWS EFS (Elastic file system)

Please bare with us as I continue to tune the server for maximum performance. Slow loading speeds may occur temporarily. I thank everyone for their patience.

Please post on this thread if you experience any issues other than slow loading times.

    • This release will:

Fix prayers and world hopper API (Thanks @JoeDezzy1 and @erickho123)

      Improve banking API (Thanks @Encoded)

Adds methods for returning and using Java Lists, rather than arrays

      Slightly randomizes some hardcoded behaviour

Removes sleeps from waitConditions; the efficiency saving potential is negligible in these use-cases, therefore cleaner code is preferable

      Other back-end improvements

Note: If you are using LG, please restart both the RS client and TRiBot.
