Jagex is banning based just on total time played

Recommended Posts

In my expierence ban is a totaly luck thing, and depends on so much factors that we just cant handle.

And breaks arent a MUST on all of the methods, as it was said a thousand times already, you need to try out and see what works
As people give a list of factors that reduce ban rates, its a total list of total grabbed information.
On some methods you need to use only 3 options from the list, some of the methods are high-ban risk, so maybe you need to use all of the options from the list, it differs guys

The bot client is only responsible for providing the means for a script to interact with RuneScape, allowing it to read data from the game and send mouse and key events. The client only controls aspects such as: mouse movement algorithm, click point selection algorithm, camera movement algorithm etc. therefore the number of variables that can be tracked and analyzed by Jagex is limited.

The script, on the other hand, provides a wealth of playing data that Jagex can track and analyze. Every line of code can be a dead giveaway. That being said, I believe that most bans occur due to the detection of the script's pattern, rather than the client's interaction algorithms. Even if we had the perfect client that sends output indistinguishable from a human operator, used in conjunction with a poorly written script will get the account banned in a timely manner.

This shouldn't prevent anyone from pursuing knowledge and educating themselves, especially since it's the first time in human history when information is free and easily accessible.

Hi

As I said in my post, I used pulover's macro creator to create a very basic script which equips my melee void + weapon and then uses special attack, it does this so quickly that to other players it appears instant (hence my name), the script simply uses the imagesearch and once it finds the location it will first move the mouse to the location, and then left clicks (I found out you need to move the mouse first, for the the click to be registered), the thing is it always clicks the exact same coordinates and I removed all sleep/delays so the script runs at maximum speed, there are no mouse movements at all, the mouse jumps, and yet I am still to receive a ban.

Is it possible they cannot/are not detecting clicks on the HUD (inventory etc.).

I'm also using another script which I created, all it does is right clicks the cannon and either fires or repairs it, then I keep auto retaliate on, this racks in up to 60k ranged and 30k strength exp per hour, oh and it also checks if the HP is low and then clicks a shark, again all clicks are in the same position and there is no mouse movement, how is that I'm not banned yet? It's been quite a few days now that I've been using it (only for 2 hours or so).

Like we all said, there is more than just time and clicks that is a factor. There is a script that does a 6 item change + prayer switches + preclicks ice barrage (if you set it up for mage layout) in .7 seconds. The person that create the script has "timed" their use specifically and have said it being done in .7 seconds. He has over a hundred user (way more than you using your own script) and has had no bans yet. Also, some laptops have touch screens that will be "teleporting" your mouse around. They can still ban you but their rules is that as long as it comes with your device, it is legit. As long as it is not a 3rd party software (Botting clients, AHK clients, etc.) Their detection method could be very shitty in this area as there are more game breaking bots.

This is called anecdotal evidence.

No conclusive information can be gathered from this experiment.

"they cannot detect the script pattern or odd behavior, or the bot client"

Not sure about this one. I was banned many times using nmz bots but when I switched to nmz autoclickers, I never got banned and maxed my main with it. I always autoclicked with the original osrs client.

Same goes with high alching for magic xp. Try using a script for long hours and watch ur account getting banned. But when using an autoclicker I managed to autoclick 12 hours a day for 2 weeks without bans on multiple accounts.

For the nmz part, I recorded myself playing legit for like 40-50 minutes and put the thing on repeat. worked like a charm. I have no concise explanation on wether autoclicking is safer than botting but for me autoclicking definately worked better.

Ok I know this thread is kinda old but I wanted to share my 48 hour ban experience and if there is a newer thread that this post needs to be moved to please do. So I was using a simple macro recorder called Murgee auto clicker for games. In it's menu it has a macro recorder function. You click record and then click say the smithing anvil on your screen, then you click the button to start the smithing of say rune arrowheads. Then when it's done making them you stop recording and tell the program to repeat those clicks say 1000 times. This can be used on anything on your pc screen not just Runescape. I went from 85 to 97 smithing in about a week or so before receiving my 48 hour ban for using an "illegal" program. This program is not illegal but they called it that because use of any auto assistance program in their game is against their rules. I am disabled and I have Carpel Tunnel in both hands and I can't spend hours clicking without intense pain in my hands and wrists unlike regular users that are not disabled. The macro recorder was ment to alleviate some of that pain and to help me feel like I was now equal to non-disabled players which allowed me to click for hours on end like they do. It was basically being used as a assistant accessibility program for someone that is disabled. This is not an assistant tool that was made for Runescape, it was not a hijacked browser ment for cheating and it was not a program specifically made to break Runescapes games rules. I was macroing for 10 to 15 hours at a time and most of that time I was actively watching the screen. On half the screen I had Runescape and the other side was me binge watching a series on Netflix. I would even chat with other users that were smithing and was rarely away from the screen for more than an hour or two. I have used simple auto click programs or typing repeaters made by Garys Hood in the game many times over the 14 year life of my account with no issues, but a few weeks of using a macro recorder "an advanced clicker" and I get a 48 hour temp ban that is "not allowed to be appealed." I was also told that if I am caught using it again I will be banned forever.

I feel like this is could be a breach of the "Americans with Disabilitys act" seeing as I pay for the service and I am being punished for being disabled and needing an assistant program to play effectively.

Any thoughts on this issue would be much appreciated and I would like to know what you think about this injustice to disabled players.

I'm also not looking to be flamed by users that want to call me a cheater or want to crap on a disabled person.

I'm convinced that consecutive hours played almost don't have any effect on bans unless you're reported and they manually look at your account. Heres a screenshot, no breaks, no logging out. The Magic Levels gained are inaccurate, it's actually 12 levels gained i believe. The only reason this isnt longer is because changed magic tab types, this account started at lvl 25 magic, botted straight to 69, relogged and this was the following proggy.

It seems like their algorithm picks up on the change in player behaviour. If that is the case you might have a better chance of not getting banned on a med to low level account that has mostly botted with one or a few scripts from the beginning. Putting that theory to test atm. Because I botted back in 2011ish from 55 RC to 20Mil RC xp with no issues using the same type of scripts and same account. god help us all...

      Hello,
I've just purchased this bot and im wondering how do i set breaks to avoid bans?

      Thank you,
    • By VRninja
So I recently got into Botting with tribot, and before I started out with any of my own bots I did a ton of research and reading about safe bottling practises and tips to prevent bans.
I decided to bite the bullet and try out a few accounts. I got 5 private ipv4 socks5 proxies, 5 unique email addresses, and created the 5 accounts through a browser with proxy support so I was creating each account on a separate IP.
Then I got tribot setup and set each proxy to one of the 5 tabs I opened in tribot. I logged in to each account and got them through tutorial island.
Then I decided to try out the same script on all of them (all on different worlds and still on different IP's)  and within a little over an hour, about.5 minutes apart, they were all locked. Now they weren't banned from what I can tell, I got the message "your account has been locked as we suspect it has been stolen".
I'm wondering what caused this to happen, and on all 5 of my accounts?

      Thanks in advance!

So I recently let my brother use my tribot account, I had to hand hold him through everything.
he bots for what he says is like 5 hours based on levels closer I would say more like 10 hours over 2 days. Banned.

I've botted for a fair bit on self made scripts. recently using the same one he was using a (premium),  I suicide botted a fresh account 12 hours day one nothing.

Have 4 days using FTWfishing script and just got banned on my 2 accounts, my main account and my bot, so, im really sad, just wanted to tell you this, and really unfair because I paid 6.5$ to TRIbot to get my stats not to get my ban.

      Quick one here.
Botted 99 str 88 att 75 def 99 range and 94 mage + all skilling stats for barrows gloves and i got a 2 day ban a few months ago.
I just found out now about Auto clicking rapid heal at nmz and i was wanting to get 95 att and 90 def.
I know slightly randomized auto clicking is not that detectable but i was wondering how detectable it would be with my account being flagged. The fact that its randomized and i wouldnt be suiciding nmz makes me think its not that risky if im doing it for 2 hours considering i nmz legit for 2 hours anyways, just getting annoying clicking twice every minute while trying to watch a movie or something
Let me know what you think boys.

How to Use TRiBot Looking Glass & Bot though the Official Runescape Client
TRiBot’s Looking Glass feature allows you to bot through the official Runescape client by hooking onto and controlling it. Looking glass also supports proxies for botting & other clients like OSBuddy.
While there’s no evidence that TRiBot is detectable, this feature was released as a form of antiban for users worried about the potential detectability of botting clients. Botters seem to be torn 50⁄50 about the effectiveness of Looking Glass on bans, but it never hurts to have some extra protection. This guide will cover how to use TRiBot Looking Glass to bot through the official Runescape client!
      1. Install Java Development Kit (JDK)
Download and install JDK here. I will be using 32 bit JDK 8u151.
      Java Development Kit Download
At the time of writing, only Java 8 is supported. 2. Load Runescape & TRiBot
Load Runescape up to the login screen, and TRiBot up to the client select screen.
      3. Start Looking Glass
On TRiBot, click the “New Client (Looking Glass)” button.
Hooking TRiBot to the Official Runescape Client
      4.(Optional) Set a Proxy
If you’re using a proxy for runescape botting, now’s the time to apply it. To do this: right click the client’s tab on TRiBot, and select “Set Proxy”.
      TRiBot Looking Glass Set Proxy
      That’s it, you’re done!
Your TRiBot client is now hooked onto the official client, and you’re ready to start botting Runescape!

      Howdy All
Currently attempting to bot for the first time and using a premium hunter script, striving for that 99 and right now sitting on 84 =-) I feel i am careful when i come to botting my character, i mainly watch my botting screen because i play my other two accounts as normal|<< nerdy i know. so i am able to reply to all who speak to me within moments, along with having break handler set up and every now and again mouse clicking around the screen to change my mouse data patterns around.
I ask this because of course 99 Hunter is great money, id much more envy the fashionscape of the 99 hunter cape and would onward play the character manually and level combat for a edge 13 pray g maul pker, noob life i know but sue me.
Will i get to live out this little account dream set up or is it most likely in the end most botted accounts lose the battle against jagex =p
If anyone has any info inside on the matter would be awesome if you discussed below.
      Happy botting <3 hahah

UPDATE:  If anyone is curious .. I decided to maximize my value on the account and botted for a full day with breaks about 2 days after this post.  I picked up a permanent ban the next day.
      --

      Hello!

Has anyone had experience with botting after a temporary 48 hour ban?

Just curious if you went straight back to botting? - If so, did you end up getting a permanent ban?

Did you give your account time to cool down? - If so, how long, and have you had success botting on the account since?

Did you change up your methods? - ex, Play the account manually for a while before botting again? , Change the number of hours your bot?

If you are interested, I seemed to have picked up my ban after buying 10M gold for my lvl 59 account, then buying a membership and botting runecrafting for exp , along with leather tanning for profit.

    • Hello everyone,

Last week we tried to roll out Auth0 Login, but we lost that battle. Now it's time to win the war!

      Important changes

When logging into the client, you'll now have to enter your Auth0 account credentials instead of your forums credentials

Note: 2FA is still handled through your forums account (for the time being)

      Changes for existing users

You'll have to link your Auth0 account to your forums account here: https://tribot.org/forums/settings/login/?service=11

Auth0 accounts have been created for most existing users. Please use your forums email address and password to login.

      Important notes

Make sure to verify your email address upon creating a new Auth0 account

When we mention your Auth0 account, we mean your account used for auth.tribot.org as displayed below
      • 65 replies
    • To better support the upcoming changes (TRiBot X, new repository), we're switching our login handler to Auth0. Instead of logging in with the standard form, you'll now be required to login through our Auth0 application.

All existing accounts which have been used within approximately the past year have been imported into Auth0 using the same email and password combination which has been stored on the forums.

What does this mean for users?

Your account credentials are now even more securely stored

You'll be able to login via Facebook, Google, and others in the future

Is there anything users have to do differently now?

Existing users: You'll have to login with the standard login, open your Account Settings, then link your Auth0 account

New users: You'll be redirected to our Auth0 app (auth.tribot.org) where you'll be able to create an account

      Why was this change made?

The new apps we are creating (such as the new repository) aren't able to use the forums to handle user logins

To centralize all user accounts in one area

To ensure that the client login doesn't go down when the forums are having problems

      To speed up our development

      Other considerations

There's no documentation or official support for using Invision Community combined with Auth0, so there are still a few kinks we're working out

We're in the works of creating an account management panel specifically for Auth0 accounts (ETA August)

It's not possible to change email addresses for the time being (this will be resolved this August)

Changing passwords is a weird process for the time being. To change your password, you'll have to use the "Don't remember your password" tool on the Auth0 login page

    • Over the past month, we've been working hard on TRiBot's new repository - a much needed update. This change has been deemed necessary for TRiBot X, and will allow us to really speed up development of all aspects of TRiBot.

Today we are going to share what we've been working on!

Now you must be wondering what kind of features the new repository will have.... well, you'll have to be patient for a little while longer. We're still figuring out various technical aspects so we can't provide answers to all possible questions. We're also focusing on development rather than writing about it so that everyone can get access to our latest developments at lightning speed. I will however answer a few users' questions.

We're planning on a release of this early to mid August, giving users some goodies before TRiBot X's release.

Thank you all for being patient. I hope everyone is excited as much as I am!

    • Over the past few months, I’ve been working diligently on a new project - TRiBot X. Everything has been written from the ground up, with all of the best practices of software engineering. Every aspect of TRiBot has been re-imagined to support three main goals: flexibility, useability, and reliability.
