Select Script Payment Types are Being Discontinued

Its REALLY disappointing to see lifetime auths go.

A better solution that actually seems fair is put lifetime auths limited to 1-3 instances, it stops the script from being catered to goldfarmers and letting them make ungodly amounts of money with such a small investment to start with.

The only reason Ive purchased any scripts is because they were lifetime auths.

Auto Fisher Pro Encoded 1 3
aMiner v2 [PREMIUM] Aropupu 1 3
JJ's AIO Fighter Pro J J 1 3

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

aAgility v2 Aropupu Unlimited 1
Master Thiever AIO Druid Unlimited 1000

( id be 100% fine if the instances were lowered for the two with unlimited auths that ive purchased and instances per auth

I'm pretty sure the majority of people who bot either do it on less than five accounts, or run farms.

I have no problem supporting the devs and paying them for their work and I know that scripts no longer offer lifetimes auths, but I completely disagree with removing old auths that were supposed to be lifetime.

Adding more instances is understandable if the staff feels that gold farmers are making too much money with such a little deposit, but if you look at almost any other business they keep people who bought something that was supposed to be "lifetime", grandfathered in.

Goldfarming is fucking hard, take it from someone whose been doing it for 3 years it actually takes a lot of time investment as well as money to get things right. It's not simply oh look I buy this script = money.

There's rwt bans, server costs, proxy costs, bond costs, weeks were you don't profit at all.

The extra profit these people get out of the price they paid for is actually done with their own sweat and effort.

If the scripters don't think they are getting remunerated enough then sure increase prices but not for old people because that's what they agreed on in the past. And please make sure you are increasing the prices correctly to match what a person can earn with a script.

Please keep in mind that the scripts you bought in 2014 are almost different products to what they are today.

We, as scripters, sell services, not goods. Lifetime purchases don't make sense for what we do.

Maybe you paid for daxhunter version 1. You then got multiple versions for FREE.

This system wasn't working. And we need to end even old time lifetime auths, because they aren't working either.

I'm sorry that we made this mistake. But it needs to be fixed if you want to see more active script development.

PLEASE remember that there are no such things as lifetime services. Yes, you can buy lifetime software, but it always has a cutoff date for updates. We cannot do that.

"Lifetime" was never meant to mean that you owned it for life. It meant that you owned it for the duration of the service, however long that may be.

Well, we are ending those services. And as compensation for being good customers, you're getting a full year of continued service for each lifetime service that has been discontinued.

This is the risk you took when making your purchase and we appreciate your support in doing so.

This change complies fully with how we defined "lifetime" in the past.

this would discourage people to bot tbh, i smell jagex

What kind of conspiracy theory is this?

If tribot's only goal was to get everyone to bot, none of it would have cost money in the first place.

Surely you must be aware of other possible reasons as to why we operate the way we do.

current botters are struggling already and future botters might find their investment not having a viable output thus quit at early stages

might take all aspect in consideration

- time = money
- bonds
- proxies
- pc upgrades (expensive CPU & RAM)
- script
- VIP access

This is a problem, where both of the sides are right, you can't get a lifetime script with lifetime updates and unlimited auths for 25 dollars. Well you could do that a few hours ago, but that was a mistake that tribot made, and we should put the blame on them, that the scripters became passive and not active with updating their scripts. Lots of examples, even created a thread for it.

On the other hand, this update will bring lots of disappointments and angry guys complaining about their losses, but I hope it will bring more + than -.
About all the stats shit and goldfarmers, many people already said the costs, proxies, vps, bonds and other shit, those stats are MORE than INNACURATE.

Conclusion: find a compromise and live in peace

I think this a great addition to tribot  @TRiLeZ @Todd ,the good premium scripters @Usa @Worthy deserve to be paid more considering how high quality some of there scripts are, if people are not willing to spend money, let them run away to shitty bots, loyal people will stay. At the end of day it will increase scripters motivation to produce more high quality scripts, and with Todd working support and Trilez working on better anti-ban, Idk how anyone could ask for more, the world changes, adapt and move on,

Cheers guys!

why would tribot force scripters not make an option for lifetime? It was the scripters personally choice in the first place to add an option to make lifetime or not

Actually no, admins said no more lifetime scripts, but that wasnt enough, now apparently now lifetime/unlimited doesn't mean that.

I'd be fine if it were to go for everything from this point forward, but going oh your "lifetime" auth isn't lifetime anymore is whats upsetting.

if scripts are no more lifetime anymore can vip be for free now?

xD

My guessing is, with new Client and New features, everything will be made so you MUST have AT LEAST Vip to use bot. But most likely system will be made, that if you plan to run more then couple accounts, what they call "goldfarm"  you will be "forced" to buy VIP-E or you will be using "old client" with no new features. Or smth like that. (tinfoil hat on my head)

Going back on your word is bad business practice. Are you sure deceiving your older loyal customers is a good way forward?

When I've purchased multiple instances a month back with the promise of a "lifetime subscription", I expected just that. Unfortunately, that lifetime might turn out to be short lived.

I urge you to reconsider this approach, and deliver on your earlier promises. If you feel like your work, and scripters' work, is inadequately compensated, start the new payment plans for new clients from the day it goes live.

Well now were paying more subscription then one off products i just hope the service of everything is upto scratch, no excuse for extended downtime or bugs etc now.

Exactly. We do not sell one off products.

Please make informed purchases and be sure to file disputes for any slack in script quality and promptness. Doing so helps the admins enforce script quality.

You actually might not be paying more, though. A lot of scripts have updated their prices so that if they had to remove lifetime, they are offering affordable 6 month subscriptions. You'll only be paying more if you use the script for extreme amounts of time.

A lot of scripts didn't even have lifetime options anyway.

I apologize if you had any previous lifetime auths and if I had more premium scripts I'd run a sale to make up for it.

I don't understand the reason behind the users complains about the changes in the payment system.

The new implementation:

  • Will allow casual botters to pay less for 1 or 2 instances of a script.
  • Will require goldfarmers to pay for the software proportional to their earnings, instead of purchasing unlimited auths for a few credits then running hundreds of accounts, basically abusing the system.
  • Will promote competition among script writers which will ultimately lead to higher quality software. Script submission date / user count will no longer be relevant when it comes to sales. The new system will reward the scripters who put in the most time, effort and skill into producing their software.

Although some users might not be aware, I strongly believe that this update was a turning point for TRiBot.

Thank you @TRiLeZ

I do think this is definately a good thing and agree the previous pricing was just there to be taken advantage of.

But i also think that support etc with tribot has been shit if im honest with you. So this is a turning point and i would like to thing the ambition of a more business like pricing will lead to more business like service.

      RS3 Support Removed

The RS3 client hasn't been updated since our Old-School version of TRiBot was released, as many of you may have noticed. Keeping all of the RS3 code in the client made the client as a whole harder to maintain, larger, slower, and messier. As hardly anyone still uses the RS3 client, and since the RS3 API was hardly functioning, we made the decision to completely remove it from TRiBot.

For the average user, this means that the client will be smaller, cleaner, and faster. Future updates will also take less work meaning there will be more frequent updates.

If you were one of the few users still using the RS3 client, we apologize for the inconvenience. No future support for RS3 is planned. There are many other botting clients which has support for RS3, so we recommend finding an alternative if you wish to continue botting on RS3.
