TRiBot CLI Client Starter

Recommended Posts

I wasn't having much luck getting this to work on linux centos 6. I was trying to use it with the terminal and this was coming up.
[mike Desktop]$ java -jar TribotClientStarter.jar -accountemail [email protected] -scriptname TRiChickens
[-accountemail, [email protected], -scriptname, TRiChickens]
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NullPointerException
    at Main.main(Main.java:91)

Tried looking at the code and couldn't really tell what was wrong. Saw someone else had an issue and deluxe said set the java home variable so i googled how to do it on centos 6 and entered these two lines into the terminal and now it's working. Not sure if ill have to have these lines in the .sh file but we'll see.

$> export JAVA_HOME=/usr/java/jdk.1.5.0_12

Yeh the .sh file doesn't work even with those 2 lines in it :/

Can't edit post but Got it working using this guide and also I didnt know the .sh file needed the full directory even though it was in the same place as the jar file.

The easiest way to set an environment variable in CentOS is to use export as in

$> export JAVA_HOME=/usr/java/jdk.1.5.0_12

However, variables set in such a manner are transient i.e. they will disappear the moment you exit the shell. Obviously this is not helpful when setting environment variables that need to persist even when the system reboots. In such cases, you need to set the variables within the system wide profile. In CentOS (I’m using v5.2), the folder /etc/profile.d/ is the recommended place to add customizations to the system profile. For example, when installing the Sun JDK, you might need to set the JAVA_HOME and JRE_HOME environment variables. In this case: Create a new file called java.sh

vim /etc/profile.d/java.sh

Within this file, initialize the necessary environment variables

export JRE_HOME=/usr/java/jdk1.5.0_12/jre
export PATH=$PATH:$JRE_HOME/bin

export JAVA_HOME=/usr/java/jdk1.5.0_12

export PATH=$PATH:$JAVA_HOME/bin

Now when you restart your machine, the environment variables within java.sh will be automatically initialized (checkout /etc/profile if you are curious how the files in /etc/profile.d/ are loaded).

PS: If you want to load the environment variables within java.sh without having to restart the machine, you can use the source command as in:

$> source java.sh

Still getting an exception when trying to use it.

Works for me. Maybe try deleting hookData.ini in the settings folder, deleting tribot.jar in the dependancies folder then running tribot normally once and trying it again.

That fixed it, works perfect now. Thanks

  • Our picks

    • Over the past few months, I’ve been working diligently on a new project - TRiBot X. Everything has been written from the ground up, with all of the best practices of software engineering. Every aspect of TRiBot has been re-imagined to support three main goals: flexibility, useability, and reliability.

    • TRiBot is looking to improve a lot of its customer relationship management, customer on boarding process, customer experience, design elements, community engagement and pretty much everything else you can imagine when it comes to marketing.

Our goal: To ensure that the marketing done TRULY reflects the experience and does not shine an inaccurate light on what TRiBot is lacking in.

So I ask, what do you love about TRiBot and what do you hate about TRiBot? What does O S Bot, Rune M8, PowR Bot and Dre amBot do better? (yes I purposely didn't spell it right 😂).

    • Over the last three weeks, I've been working on upgrading our server infrastructure. It's finally ready and is now live!

Increased reliability - less server errors

      Increased availability - less downtime

Increased security - keeping us and you secure

Increased capacity - ability to serve you better

Increased speed - less waiting for things to load

Faster development - server and service updates will come faster

      What are the changes?

Move from a single AWS EC2 instance to AWS ECS (Elastic Container Service)

      Distributed computing

      Load balancing

Git management of server files and filesystem

      Redis caching

AWS ECS (with 10 EC2 instances)

      AWS ElastiCache (Redis)

      AWS Load Balancing

      AWS EFS (Elastic file system)

Please bare with us as I continue to tune the server for maximum performance. Slow loading speeds may occur temporarily. I thank everyone for their patience.

Please post on this thread if you experience any issues other than slow loading times.

    • This release will:

Fix prayers and world hopper API (Thanks @JoeDezzy1 and @erickho123)

      Improve banking API (Thanks @Encoded)

Adds methods for returning and using Java Lists, rather than arrays

      Slightly randomizes some hardcoded behaviour

Removes sleeps from waitConditions; the efficiency saving potential is negligible in these use-cases, therefore cleaner code is preferable

      Other back-end improvements

Note: If you are using LG, please restart both the RS client and TRiBot.
