How safe is it? I was banned on a premium script.

Question

I recently got unbanned (I played dumb to support). I'm a low 30's combat level, trying to skill up WC and fishing. I had a premium WC script and got banned. Ran it for 2-3 hours and took some breaks in between.

I'd like some details on how Jagex detects bots, if anyone has any. Does VIP / Looking Glass / Proxy even do anything to help?

All it takes is for someone to say hi to you and if you ignore them while your character is doing in game interaction they'll eventually report you. After that your account will probably be monitored till there is sufficient evidence you were indeed botting.

Maybe I'm old but botting nowadays is a lot different than it used to be - Jagex is much better at banning. 5-6 yrs ago botting was at its peak and suicide botting was the norm even though most didn't ever really lose their accounts lol. I remember running 20 sorc garden accs 24/7 and raking in the $$$ lol. Good times good times

TL;DR

IM OLD AND GRUMPY

I remember doing this too! it's nothing to log into an old suicider on rs3 with at least 90 farming from sorc garden.

On topic,  I think reports play a big role. Even one or two could be enough to get investigated..  combined with no breaks and common playstyles with others that jagex use for heuristic purposes it's a dead give away. It's better to assume you will get banned eventually if you are gold farming.

Yeah dude this makes me super nostalgic ...

I would run 5-6 bots at once (OSRS) with some shitty script that had little to no anti-ban and Jagex gave less than a single fuck. It's hard now, I didn't know how risky it was and botted some combat for 4 hours before I got banned. It sucks kind of ... IMO lack of a botting community will reduce the amount of players overall. Players will still be there to play the game, yeah, but something about bots in the game that makes it feel more natural. Like standing around a yew tree and having 5 default characters chopping at it (that can be annoying, though).

    • Over the past few months, I’ve been working diligently on a new project - TRiBot X. Everything has been written from the ground up, with all of the best practices of software engineering. Every aspect of TRiBot has been re-imagined to support three main goals: flexibility, useability, and reliability.

    • TRiBot is looking to improve a lot of its customer relationship management, customer on boarding process, customer experience, design elements, community engagement and pretty much everything else you can imagine when it comes to marketing.

Our goal: To ensure that the marketing done TRULY reflects the experience and does not shine an inaccurate light on what TRiBot is lacking in.

So I ask, what do you love about TRiBot and what do you hate about TRiBot? What does O S Bot, Rune M8, PowR Bot and Dre amBot do better? (yes I purposely didn't spell it right 😂).

      Love,

      RileyZ

    • Over the last three weeks, I've been working on upgrading our server infrastructure. It's finally ready and is now live!

      Why?

Increased reliability - less server errors

      Increased availability - less downtime

Increased security - keeping us and you secure

Increased capacity - ability to serve you better

Increased speed - less waiting for things to load

Faster development - server and service updates will come faster

      What are the changes?

Move from a single AWS EC2 instance to AWS ECS (Elastic Container Service)

      Distributed computing

      Load balancing

Git management of server files and filesystem

      Redis caching

      How?

AWS ECS (with 10 EC2 instances)

      AWS ElastiCache (Redis)

      AWS Load Balancing

      AWS EFS (Elastic file system)

Please bare with us as I continue to tune the server for maximum performance. Slow loading speeds may occur temporarily. I thank everyone for their patience.

Please post on this thread if you experience any issues other than slow loading times.

    • This release will:

Fix prayers and world hopper API (Thanks @JoeDezzy1 and @erickho123)

      Improve banking API (Thanks @Encoded)

Adds methods for returning and using Java Lists, rather than arrays

      Slightly randomizes some hardcoded behaviour

Removes sleeps from waitConditions; the efficiency saving potential is negligible in these use-cases, therefore cleaner code is preferable

      Other back-end improvements

Note: If you are using LG, please restart both the RS client and TRiBot.
