What's up all!

I don't know what happened, but I randomly started thinking about the glory days of RS botting, and now that I am all grown up with a big boy job, I want to start botting again for some cool side money.  I used to be big into Powerbot, I was a founder of iRune, etc.  Anyways, that's a tangent.

I haven't been on RS in 2-3 years, and haven't played or botted legitimately in 4-5 years.  I see that my main, my maxed staker, and my skiller are all transferred to RS3. Which I don't know anything about, nor do I want to.

I want to start up an OSRS account.  I have been lurking on the TriBot forums for about a week gathering info.  I will probably buy 20-50mil off of Sythe, and then I want to make an account members and use Tau Grand Exchange Script.

My questions are:

  • What is the Looking Glass that I keep reading about?
  • What do I need to do?
    • Plan on buying VIP Client
    • Plan on buying the GE Script
    • Plan on buying 20-50m
    • Plan on researching the top items to merch

Any tips on:

  • Botting
    • I haven't botted in a while, what are Jagex's detection systems like now?
    • Using the Tau GE Script specifically
      • Any basic item suggestions or how to use the script suggestions
        • I realize it's competitive, I don't expect the full floor plan lol
  • Computer Specs
    • I'm using a MACBOOK.  Will that bring me issues?
  • Anything else!

Thanks for any info, guys!

Also:

Without being super biased (I realize the forum I'm on), can anybody articulate the difference between TriBot, DreamBot, EpicBot, PowerBot?

Thanks again!

Tribot has the best antiban measures (ABC2) and API imo.

Also most of your questions are already answered. Use the search bar at the top right corner.

Good luck!

  • What is the Looking Glass that I keep reading about?

Since you said you read it, I'll explain it from my point. It basically reduces your banrate to a very low percentage than any other normal client usage would. Sure there's still a chance of banrate, but it makes Jagex work harder than they need to. It's like X-Ray. Instead of them being able to see you through the wall easily AKA normal client, now they have to get up, walk to the door, open the door, look out and find you. And even then, you may be hiding somewhere else, so they keep on looking. (I make weird analogies, but I hope you get it)

  • What do I need to do?
    • Plan on buying VIP Client - VIP-E for proxy usage/Looking Glass aka LG.
    • Plan on buying the GE Script - I mean, I've personally never used it, I'm bad at flipping, so if I set a bot on it..I don't think I'd necessarily lose much more than I need to, but I don't think I'm fit for it. Though it is a good script to start off to make money.
    • Plan on buying 20-50m - If you're going to buy the GE script, rather buy a small amount to start off with. Just incase. Maybe 1-5m. That's just me though.
    • Plan on researching the top items to merch - If you put time into it, you will make hella bank. Especially if you watch out for updates.

Any tips on:

  • Botting
    • I haven't botted in a while, what are Jagex's detection systems like now? - They're better than before..but with LG, it's gotten a little lighter. Then again, it depends on what you bot, how long, when, etc. There's still too many variables to determine. You just have to test it out yourself.
- Play it cool. Don't ever bot too much. Bot variety of skills, do quests via bot/hand, talk to people. Flip yourself (wow) or let the bot flip while you type to people. Etc etc.

TBF, I've used Dreambot for a little, Epicbot a while, Powerbot more than the three. Tribot was just something I saw then left because the pricing was too much for me (at the time) and I thought it was a scam or something. When I finally tried it, it was around LG/ABCL10, and honestly. All I have to say is; There are certain things that don't need changing unless you absolutely have to. Tribot for life.

This change was necessary to allow us to use Java 8 syntax. It also paves the way for Java 9/10/11 support.
