Looking glass cannot find the runescape client

Recommended Posts

Hello friends!

I'm trying to get thee bot to work on my windows PC and for the life of me cannot do it. I have tribot downloaded correctly and I run RuneScape through OSBuddy. For the Java I'm running in tribot I have the jdk1.8.0_111. All seems to run smoothly until looking glass is opened and it stays on the screen "Looking for RuneScape client..." The bug report is quitelong as it endlessly loops through the same iteration. The looped iteration I've put in bold print so it is easy to identify. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

         Here is a post:

  • [10:09:01] TRiBot Release 9.303_6 loaded. (1.8.0_111:C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_111\jre)

Delete .tribot/dependencies folder by pressing Win + R and then write %appdata% and press enter. Then find the folder and delete it. Then check your firewall/antivirus settings as the client cannot connect somewhere, most likely some update server, and is throwing those errors because of that.

Deleting hooks.dat is enough.

There are connection issues

  • [10:09:18] at sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection.plainConnect(HttpURLConnection.java:1019)
  • [10:09:18] at sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection.connect(HttpURLConnection.java:966)

Disable/Set your firewall maybe this will solve the problem

I tried uninstalling and then creating an exception in my windows defender for the file  which seemed to fix the previous problem... however I have a new one. Now when I click "New Client (Looking Glass) in the TRiBot client, it goes straight to saying "No RuneScape Client was found, Make sure you are currently running RS in  web browser, and then says that I should probably use a 32 bit java software (JDK)"

WELL...

I'm running the client through OSBuddy, I have the newest 32bit (jdk) java software available loaded into TriBot, and everything seems to work fine when the initial client opens. It is when I click New Client (Looking Glass) which leads to the problem where the Bug report reads:

  • [17:05:33] TRiBot Release 9.304_0 loaded. (1.8.0_111:C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.8.0_111\jre)
  • [17:05:33] Loading human mouse movement data.
  • [17:05:34] Successfully loaded human mouse data.
  • [17:06:12] AGENT PATH: C:\Users\Simon\AppData\Local\Temp\t1_agent_1093040000.jar
  • [17:06:12] No RuneScape client was found.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Not sure about your LG issue, try starting multiple osbuddy/firefox clients and see if you can get any to hook.

As for your profile picture - @Worthy might feel impersonated

Ty for the profile pic heads up. Literally thought I was being super original haha

B/c my problem has evolved. Should I make a new thread? I've been surfing around the forum and haven't been able to find a real fix.

    • This release includes:

Fix updater bug which was causing a bunch of issues

TRiBot will no longer require manual hook fixes every time the RS client updates - the updater has been fully patched for objects

      Hooked login fields

      Improved the login bot

Ability to recognize the banned/locked messages again

Ability to read the current input for username and password fields

If the username or password is already entered correctly, it won't be erased

If only part of the username or password is already entered correctly, it won't be erased. The login bot will fill in what's missing.

If there are a few invalid characters after a valid substring of your username/password, only (approximately) those invalid characters will be erased. The login bot will then proceed to fill in the missing characters.

      Coming soon:

      Skull icon fix

Improve screen rate and responsiveness of the RS client (both regular client and LG)

      Much more

      RS3 Support Removed

The RS3 client hasn't been updated since our Old-School version of TRiBot was released, as many of you may have noticed. Keeping all of the RS3 code in the client made the client as a whole harder to maintain, larger, slower, and messier. As hardly anyone still uses the RS3 client, and since the RS3 API was hardly functioning, we made the decision to completely remove it from TRiBot.

For the average user, this means that the client will be smaller, cleaner, and faster. Future updates will also take less work meaning there will be more frequent updates.

If you were one of the few users still using the RS3 client, we apologize for the inconvenience. No future support for RS3 is planned. There are many other botting clients which has support for RS3, so we recommend finding an alternative if you wish to continue botting on RS3.
