VirtualBuddy - How To Use Our Servers

Recommended Posts

This thread will be a guideline on how to use our servers from before you purchase to after. We've been getting lots of messages in regards to what happens after the purchasing process, so we want to show everyone what we have on the market for Runescape gold farming, VirtualBuddy.

Step 1: Choosing a Server

Whatever your botting needs are, we can supply you with the best software on the market for botting that all comes in a nicely bundled package. Our wide variety of servers allows for easy expansion of bot farms that grows with you, Starting with our most basic package "Trial Farm VPS". Select the one that fits you the best.

Step 2: Review Your Product

After you select any of the 7 Runescape packages above you will be redirected to the info sheet that gives you all the information you need to know about your virtual server. For this example I have selected the "Platinum Farm VPS" which can run around 50 botting clients with its powerful dedicated cores.

Once you have reviewed your product, you can continue to add it to your cart.

Step 3: Checkout

Continue to your checkout by clicking the cart in the top right hand corner. Here you will be displayed with all the items you added to your cart including proxies if you added them. We've added "Special Instructions" incase you want to request an extra feature for your server, for example: "Could you please download OSBuddy on my server so I can use the LG feature for the Tribot Client".

After reading and understand you may tick off "I Agree With The Terms and Conditions" and continue on with your purchase.

Step 4: Customer Information

Pretty self explanatory. Just the basic information we need to get started with processing your order. After you complete this you can use the same information to login to your VirtualBuddy account to purchase another product without having to fill this out again.

Step 5: Payment

After completing your customer information you will be directed to your payment options. We accept almost all types of payment options so choose the best one that suits your needs. We may add a feature to pay with OSGP in the future.

We're almost done!

Step 6: Reviewing, Processing, Finalizing, Sending Email

After you have completed your payment type, an invoice is directly emailed to our staff email which we will then review your order, pass it on to level 2 processing which will take a few minutes to get everything you need on to your new server, and then the final step of finalizing and double checking over our work to make sure your server is up and functional always. This step can take up to 24 hours depending on when you order. If you order within our working hours you can expect to have your server within 30 minutes or less. After all these processes and we are positive your server is ready, we will then email you the server information directly to the email you used in your Customer Information.

What is the solution to changing a proxy of current client in tribot.
I KNOW there is no OFFICIAL API for this. I KNOW there is no OFFICIAL API for this.
But there are definitely other ways to accomplish it, care to share?

      Fluffee's Server Setup 3.0
As some of you may know, I released an automated server setup script a little over a year ago. Albeit that script worked well, I was never fully satisfied with it, as I found it to be kind of messy to use. As a result, I rewrote the script, and restructured it, to add more, and stronger support for the different versions of Debian, the different versions of CentOS and the different versions of Ubuntu. However, with so many different Operating Systems being supported, and many different server providers having different setups, it's hard for me to test every possible scenario on my own. Which is why I've been privately handing this script out, and am now publicly looking for help.

      What does the script do?
Similar to my previous setup script, this script changes the SSH port and creates a new user for connecting and using the server and disables root SSH connections; it installs the latest version of TightVNC Server (1.3.10) and sets that up with the desired port and password. It installs JDK 102 (32 or 64 bit depending on the OS), and installs TRiBot and OSBuddy and sets up the appropriate .jar file associations.
What operating systems does it support?
      - CentOS (6.x and 7.x) (32 and 64 bit)
      - Debian (7.x and 8.x) (32 and 64 bit)
      - Ubuntu (12.x, 14.x and 16.x) (32 and 64 bit)
      Does it work?
As far as I know, yes it does in fact work, and it works well if I might add. However, given that I can't test every possible setup, there is the potential for differences and issues
How do I run the script?
Login as root to a fresh VPS/dedi running one of the supported operating systems. From there run the commands listed below and follow the onscreen instructions. For those who would like to see the script's code, it can be found on my bitbucket here. The commands to run are as follows:
      wget --no-check-cert https://bitbucket.org/teamfluffee/fluffees-server-setup/raw/add-shared-functions/fluffees-server-setup.sh && chmod +x fluffees-server-setup.sh && bash fluffees-server-setup.sh -v Version History

    • [READ TO THE END FOR A TEASER]

I've noticed some new TRiBotters have had some troubles finding out sources of how to do certain things, such as using advanced scripts and often get lost in the forums.

We are still getting posts asking where to start, what to do, recommended scripts, etc.

As many of you know, I am new to the team, and had troubles myself learning how to bot, let alone script.

So, what our team decided to do was make it easier to learn how to bot, how to script, and just become an overall better botter and scripter faster.

As some of you might have seen, I've posted 3 new blogs, you can check it out by clicking on the following picture or here.

These first 3 blogs are the first of many blogs that will be TRiBot official. They are encouraged to be challenged, improved upon and act as A Best Practices Guide for Botters.

What information would you like to see in the blogs?

    • Today marks a big day for TRiBot! To make it easier for users to use TRiBot, we've created installers available for every platform! These installers are all bundled with the latest version of OpenJDK 1.8 (Java 😎, which is LG compatible.

Using TRiBot is now easy. Simply download the installer for your platform, install TRiBot, and run it. The TRiBot Loader will correctly identify the bundled JDK so there's no need to change the Java selection.

      Windows

      EXE installer: TRiBot-windows-x64-4.0.3.exe

      MSI installer: TRiBot-windows-x64-4.0.3.msi

      Portable version: TRiBot-windows-x64-4.0.3.zip

      Mac OS

      Installer: TRiBot-macos-4.0.3.dmg

      Portable version: TRiBot-macos-4.0.3.tgz

      Unix/Linux

      Installer: TRiBot-unix-4.0.3.sh

      RPM installer (CentOS/Fedora): TRiBot-linux-4.0.3.rpm

      DEB installer (Debian): TRiBot-linux-4.0.3.deb

      Portable version: TRiBot-unix-4.0.3.tar.gz

      Platform Independent

      JAR file: tribot-loader-4.0.3.jar

Note that this jar file does not include the bundled JDK.

Windows and Mac OS users may notice a warning message stating that the installer/application is un-recognized or un-trusted. Please ignore this message and proceed with running the installer/application. We need to acquire a code signing certificate so that we can sign the installers letting the operating system know that these files can be trusted. It will take a week or more to acquire one, so please hold tight.

Other notable changes to the TRiBot Loader:

Support getting the version from OpenJDK distributions

      Add check for bundled JDK

Copy OpenJDK tools.jar to the bundled JDK if not present

Set the current java as the first available list entry

Ignore Java versions which are symbolic links

Make the bundled JDK the preferred Java version

      Update icon images

Reduce the number of HTTP calls

    • TRiBot is looking to improve a lot of its customer relationship management, customer on boarding process, customer experience, design elements, community engagement and pretty much everything else you can imagine when it comes to marketing.

Our goal: To ensure that the marketing done TRULY reflects the experience and does not shine an inaccurate light on what TRiBot is lacking in.

So I ask, what do you love about TRiBot and what do you hate about TRiBot? What does O S Bot, Rune M8, PowR Bot and Dre amBot do better? (yes I purposely didn't spell it right 😂).

      Love,

      RileyZ

    • Hello TRiBot,

Today we have a significant release that has been in the works for the last month addressing several key issues, features and bugs in the backlog.

With these changes, we are also including a new TRiBot Loader which will allow you to select any version that is released. This adds the flexibility of allowing you to revert to a previous version should an issue arise, run development only builds, view an accurate change log between versions etc. we are very proud to offer this feature and think it will add a lot more functionality down the road as we continue to release new versions.

These changes include 80+ commits by our development team, a list of them is summarized below and also available for your viewing pleasure in the new TRiBot Loader.

In addition, we have taken additional steps to improve as a development team by adding continuous integration and deployment into our workflow to assist in delivering timely releases such as bug fixes as well as new features on a weekly basis depending on our development cycle.
