Cant run tribot on windows 10

9 posts in this topic

hi, I have recently got a new laptop with windows 10. I downloaded WinRAR, java, JDK and tribot. The tribot folder is just sat on my desktop in a blue folder and when "opened with WinRAR" there are no tribot launch files to extract.

You have to open TriBot with Java, not with WinRar. Just right click > open with > browse to java

Were you able to follow donders solution? If not please tell and I will see if I can throw together a quick quide with pictures on how to change so .jar files are always opened with your Java JRE.

Dear marcyp,

Correct! That is the one you should use. Click the checkbox "Always use this app to open .jar files".

Hi again!

In that case please go to the control panel and uninstall all Java installations both JDK and JRE. Then install Java JRE from here: http://download.oracle.com/otn-pub/java/jdk/8u77-b03/jre-8u77-windows-i586.exe

After you have done that, if the jar now do not automatically open with Java. Right click it and you should get this display:

If Java(TM) Platform SE Binary is not available here, click "More apps" and then "Look for another app on this PC" Then go to 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_77\bin' and choose Javaw. Then click Ok.

Kind Regards

You must open the TRiBot_Loader.jar file with Java in order for TRiBot to run properly.
Here is a step-by-step guide on how to make sure you are opening TRiBot with Java:
