i7-5820k CPU for Botting? Need Advice!

6 posts in this topic

Hey guys,

I'm considering buying i7-5820k for botting.

Does anyone have any experience with this CPU? How many regular clients can it run? How many looking glass?

CPU Benchmark result for this CPU: http://cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Core+i7-5820K+%40+3.30GHz&id=2340

I have about $400 in budget so please feel free to advise any other CPU within this budget if it'll perform better then i7-5820k

I would imagine you could probably run around 20 regular clients. Not too sure on looking glass though as I just don't even care to use it anymore lol. Reason I say 20 is I can run 10 clients on a AMD-FX6300 Six Cores 3.5GHz w/ 8GB DDR3. CPU usage is around 7-10% per client (depending on script), and memory is like 450MB each. You'll probably want 16GB RAM but it's honestly not expensive at all so why not :P Here is the build I was going to start out with, but figured I would start smaller and make sure my money methods were efficient. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/bD4yjX

Im runnin 970 12core can run around 40bots

Isn't it 6 cores 12 threads? Pretty sure the 5820k would outperform the 970 but idk

Is it worth it only if you overclock it and have a good aftermarket watercooler.
