Hey whatsup guys!

I have been gold farming for about a year now. When I look back at when I just started I can tell you that it was one hell of a journey! From feeling like a boss using my first crappy f2p script to making hundreds of dollars a month. Getting my whole farm banned to running the farm without bans for over a month (dat feeling when u have to buy new bonds because Jagex didnt catch u  ). When I started botting there werent really any people around showing me the tricks of the business. Ofcourse I understand that nobody is going to share any good methods, but I mean just the basics. Thats why i decided to make a guide on gold farming. I hope I can help some of you and motivate people to start a farm as well. Most people think that gold farming is just setting up some accounts, start some scripts and the money comes running in. Well I wish it was that way, it's a never ending process of trial and error, persistance and being innovative. Check out my guide at http://www.howtobotrs.com, hope I helped some of you guys out!

If this post isnt in the right place, please remind me and I will change it ASAP.

You realize you are just driving the gold price down by making these kind of guides. And first things first do you really think advertising illegal business is a good way to make money? I realize you are making youtube videos = $$$, donate button on website? I would just think about it twice you know.

What makes selling gold legal? It's certainly illegal, your breaking Jagex's T&C by selling the gold, profiting from the sale of their digital property and currency

It's actually a common misconception that breaking the T&C of a company's product makes something illegal - but by this logic, one could create a random corporation and a T&C that says something absurd such as "We own all the nitrogen in the planet's atmosphere. To use it, you must comply to all our terms of service and pay us, or you will be breaking the law."

Your second part of the argument, that you are profiting from the sale of their digital property and currency, is true but this is still not illegal in most respective states. While there have been successful cases against instances such as this, these are in countries where gold farming in specific is illegal.

TV is right. Goldfarming is illegal in for example China and Australia.

In the EU, import of virtual goods is completely legal.

What matters most is the fact that Jagex themselves say in their T&C that even though you may play with your account and use the in-game items, they still are the respective owner of anything in the game, which makes it hard for them to take legal action against you, since you haven't stolen anything from them. The only thing they can do to you is swipe your accounts. There was a case in the U.S. when they tried to fuck some goldfarming kid in court and they failed exactly because of their T&C.

nice ! . i am new here so i have doing a lot of experience by reading your website... but one question can you tell me what bot to use f2p for suicide botting to make some good money ?

There are lots of different ways to run a botfarm.
Most successfully botters find out what works best for them through trial and error.
Run a few accounts, see how it goes, learn from your bans.

Good Luck

*As no one knows how Jagex bans accounts, all opinion's are my own.
**In response to comments, I've revised the post.
This is meant to encourage/help people get into botting, as well as some tips to people who are not succeeding. I spent a lot of time making this because I think this information is useful.
First, not only is it possible to make a living botting, but I make more now than at my "real" job! I do this by diversifying how I make my money and picking up as many streams of income as I can.
I'll go into what a normal day looks like, but firstly you should learn the game. Runescape botting by far is where most of my money come in, and without some knowledge of the game you are going to struggle, so if your new looking to make an easy buck, it’s possible, but you’re going to need to do quite a bit of research. I'd play the game for at least a month before attempting to learn. There’s quite a few ways to bot, and you will have to figure out for yourself what works for you. For me, I like to run high requirement/high money bots, though riskier the rewards are also great.
I have successfully botted the same accounts for 6+ months, each making over 1m/h. In these types of accounts, the most costly thing associated with it are the accounts getting banned. There are quite a few ways I get around this, and the more unique your personal bot farm is the less likely you are to be banned generally. Some things I follow religiously though are:
-Not botting during Jagex hours, if you have botted enough I’m sure your aware 90% of bans happen during this time. Whether being logged in effects it we can’t be certain, but from my personal experience I would not risk it.
-Looking Glass, Again, a bit of a controversial one. When botting high skill requirement activity's I like to give my accounts the best chance, I believe looking glass does help, but for suicide botting your CPU could be better used and i would not recommend Looking Glass for those types of Accounts.
-Breaks, so far these should not be too crazy new to people, however I see questions all the time on here asking about breaks. You want your accounts to look human if they’re going to last, and humans got to take breaks!
-Sleep! A lot of people want to bot on their main, and will do so during the time they would normally sleep. I strongly advise against this. We have suspensions that Jagex tracks your normal hour play time, and there are flags to be raised when you suddenly spend 8 hours alching from midnight to 8am. In fact, I always let my accounts get at least a 8-9 hour "sleep" to look more human.
-Paid scripts, you got to spend money to make money! Not only will paid scripts almost always have better, more customization features. The developers usually care and update these scripts a lot more, and, the less users on a script, the better for ban rate. A lot of users don’t want to shell out a few dollars for their accounts. Again, strongly unadvised to use free scripts!
-Proxys. Same goes for proxies as paid scripts, generally the more expensive the less likely it will have been botted on in the past. Never use free proxies, you can have accounts banned before you ever bot for using a suspicious proxy! Personally i use residential proxies, and I believe that is why my ban rate seems so low compared to other users. Data center proxies are detectable whereas residential looks like just another home IP. I get mine from Yourprivateproxy as there one of the few sites that offer static, Socks5 residential proxies. You should also be aware of how many accounts you have on a certain proxy, i like to have 2 botting accounts on 1 proxy, with mules/gold traders on cheaper data center proxies.
-Check the threads! Before getting into a new activity to bot, check the thread/forum to see what people are complaining about, but also keep in mind that people are more likely to go out of their way to complain vs complement.
-Choose what you know! If your highest hunter level you’ve ever gotten in the game is 10, don’t bot hunter! Bot things that your familiar with, things that you've seen/identified people botting and do it in a way that isn’t as obvious as those people. If you jump into a skill you don’t know, you’re just going to be one of those obvious bots.
-Don’t overdo it. Don’t quit your job tomorrow to start 100 accounts (yes people do this) without any experience expecting to make bank. Give it time and fell it out to see if this is something you want to learn, you should learn more and more every day from botting.
How much money can you make off this? I Spend about an hour a day on my bots, ATM I make around $70 a day/ $2100 a month from the accounts I have and am working towards making more! One of the first things I bought after starting this was my car (image attached). I was a server before this, and as a guy finishing up college the freedom I have now is unreal.

      *Other ways I make money
Honestly these are not for everyone, they can be tedious/annoying. This is not meant to be an add but as an actual discussion on the things I personally do. I realize not everyone will have an interest in these, so please just ignore this part if you fit into that category.
Besides botting, in my other free time i try to make money online in a few different ways, lots of websites can be used together to make an extra $
-Swagbucks, This one is my favorite because once you figure it out you can make quite a bit. Especially if you sign up for free trials (I have enough free razors to last me forever)
-Perk, Another site though not as good as swagbucks. If you have a phone, tablet or even multiple you can make money on them just playing videos forever, i just set up the ipad and leave. People used to make "perk farms" with tons of phones and make $100's of dollars a day, but the golden age of perk has passed sadly.
-Ebates, For saving money this is the best one I know. When buying my new PC they actually gave me 20% back so i got around $200 I would have never seen anyway. I'm sure most people know about it but I thought id include it anyway
-Smart Screen Panel- This one will pay you $1 a week per device you download it to up to 3 devices. Its hard to get in but if you catch it when its open you can download and forget about it, I usually forget I have this until Christmas hits then its actually a nice sack of change
      - Paribus, It will go though your amazon purchases from the last 30 days, and if prices drop give you the difference. I don't buy a lot of stuff off amazon, but you may find it useful.
-Instagc, Another site for making money, I've heard great things about this site but i personally do not use it.
-Other sites to try, Reddit/beermoney probably has the most of these types of sites if you interested, not something everyone is into but if you got the time check it out!
If anyone has any other suggesting/other ways they make money there willing to share, let me know! I'm always trying to find new sites to try and make a buck
***Some of the links above are affiliated/refer links. You do not in anyway have to use these, fell free to google the different sites yourself if interested.  I will also attempt to show some verification of my claims.

Pretty sure I already know the answer, but I am just trying to be lazy and not write the code myself (since i dont write java, but python)(automation), was wondering if there is a cli starter that someone knows of that uses LG, im aware of the one with tribot, and ericks public one, but i think neither support LG (assuming osbuddy is already running for LG to hook into)

Gold Farming - Part 1 - Account Safety
So here is the long awaited gold farming guide that everyone has been waiting for. In this series we will be talking about various account safety measures to keep your account working for you, long term. I cannot stress this enough that even with every safety precaution you use, it is STILL possible to get banned, so only bot on accounts you do not care about. Lets get started.
      ==============================================================================================================
      Account Creation:
Arguably the most important aspect when you want to start a farm. Keeping accounts separated and on different IP networks will keep your accounts from being noticed while creating and when botting. Jagex will temporarily block certain IPs from creating accounts if they notice you are making them in bulk, for instance an example of poor account creation vs. correct account creation:

      Poor Account Creation:
You create 4 accounts within an hour, the 5th account you make is blocked because you created too many accounts on a single IP, now you must wait for your IP to be unsuspended creating a flagged IP that Jagex now watches over. You are now limited to making accounts and now you are wasting time.
      Correct Account Creation:
You create 4 accounts over 2 proxies, IP1 and IP2. You make 2 accounts on IP1 and 2 accounts on IP2, now since you didn't make bulk accounts on 1 IP you are still free to make more accounts by oscillating between the two IPs. By doing this you relieve stress on a single IP which could of possibly been marked as flagged causing future accounts to be watched over and banned faster.
      ===============================================================================================================
      Account Appearance:
Have you ever seen a default level 3 character with green pants, brown shirt, and bald? Well he either doesn't care about his account or he's misinformed about how to gold farm correctly. Appearance makes the bot, if you want to be successful you need to act the part. Dressing your character up may not sound like it will do much but it will. Almost all bans come from player reports. Legit players feel the need to ban your bots because they feel it is unfair that you are using a system to produce resources while they can't, this is the incentive to ban bots. If you had 2 accounts, 1 with default "bob" look and 1 with full rune, it is more likely that your default character will be reported more often than the account with full Rune. Now this is not always the case as Jagex will have automated bot detection system that will ban you either way, but if you are using "looking glass" having your account look more legit will improve your longevity and overall success rate. Putting that extra 5 minutes of work to dress your character up will be very worth it in the end.
                                VS.
If you were to guess which one of these two accounts were a bot, the obvious answer would be the left one because the right account looks like a splasher. The real answer is that they are both bots, but since people think the right account is just been splashing "afk" it'll reduce the chances of player bans, which overall will reduce the chance of getting banned. While the account on the left just screams "bot" and will most likely be banned within 24 hours. This is just an example of an outfit you could potentially use on your accounts, and it is better to mix up your outfits rather than to have all your bots dressed up the same. The goal here is to simulate a real player.
      ==============================================================================================================
      Account Stats and Questing:
Account stats and quests are the numbers Jagex can use to determine a bot. If you want to make your accounts last randomize your skills you train and do some quests every now and then. F2P accounts are limited to the number of items they can trade over the GE or to another player for the first 17 hours (correct me if I'm wrong), but this can be over come by getting 8 quest points (also not 100% sure of this number). From my experience players who have a large number of F2P quests done will be more lenient when they are caught botting and will receive a 2-14 day ban before they are permanently. Don't be lazy and only level up the skill you are using to gold farm, but take some time and work on your botting accounts to make sure they look legit. This way they will last a lot longer than an average bot.
      ============================================================================================================
      Stay Undetected:
Since we know that appearance matters, and player reports play a role in being banned, staying undetected is a major key in dodging player reports. How to stay undetected? Bot in various areas that correspond to your botting habits. If you are using a Fletching Script, you are better off either botting in a very public place with many people on 1 square, for example the Grand Exchange in World 2, OR botting in an empty bank booth that you know no one will come to. Avoiding real players is the best way to stay unbanned, but this does not mean you cannot stay undetected forever. Jagex bot system is a lot better than you think it is. Botting large amount of hours is very risky and unnecessary for long term profit. However this should not shy you away from botting 24/7 which is very possible, but bans will come almost always.
      ============================================================================================================
      Breaks:
Normal humans do not play for extended periods of times, if you want to reduce your bans use breaks according to what you set your age to when creating the account. Jagex will use this "age" variable to determine if it is possible for this player to be playing for long hours. For example if you set your age to 10-15, Jagex knows that you are likely to be in elementary school/high school which will determine your hours of play. Teenagers usually get out of school at 2-3PM EST so if they see that you are playing 12 hours a day, but your age is set to 13, this will be a huge indicator that you are a bot. Depending on your type of bot farm (which I will cover in part 2) you can either break this rule or follow it. Do not be discourage with this number, it is still very possible to have 24/7 bot farms then run all the time but they require a bit more work and knowledge on how to run.
      ==============================================================================================================
      Proxies:
Proxies overall are a great investment for gold farming. Basically proxies help you separate your accounts from being chain banned. What is chain banning? Chain banning is when all of your accounts you are botting are on a single IP address, lets say 1 account on this IP address is banned for botting. Jagex will then run a check on that IP to see if there are any other accounts on that IP that are also botting, if they detect any sort of suspicious activity then they do a mass ban on that single IP and wipe all the accounts associated with that IP. This means even if you have 5 account botting and only 1 of the 5 account gets caught, all 5 will still get banned. The way around this is to separate your IP address which each account so they have their own special space to avoid contact with other accounts. An example of correctly using proxies vs. not using proxies would be as so:
      Not Using Proxies:
You have 10 accounts all botting on the same IP. Each of them are doing different tasks, fishing, woodcutting, mining, smithing etc. However Bot 3 is caught by Jagex's detection system. Jagex now runs a check on that IP to see if there are any other accounts associated with this IP. They find the other 9 accounts and ban all 10 accounts with 1 single click. You have now just wasted time and resources.
      Using Proxies:
You have 10 accounts all botting on different IP. Each of them are doing different tasks, fishing, woodcutting, mining, smithing etc. This time Bot 5 is caught by Jagex's detection system. Jagex runs a check on Bot 5's IP address and sees no other bots on that IP. Your other 9 accounts are now safe from Bot 5's mistake by being caught. Now each account does not need it's own unique IP addresses, it really depends on what type of "Bot Farm" you want to run (this will be covered in another guide in the future). Some farms will be sufficient enough so that you can have multiple accounts on an IP and so on and so forth.
      ========================================================================================================
      Documentation:
The most important rule of gold farming when you are starting out is documenting all your work, with all your steps. Why? If you get banned you can check your logs to see where you went wrong, and can prevent it from happening again. Lots of new people fail to realize how important this step is when gold farming because it requires lots of work to maintain information, however once you get the hang of it like I have it will only take you a few minutes everyday to update your docs. I recommend having your information on a spreadsheet such as Google Docs, with all information regarding the account in the cells.
An example template will be used here. I document all my information in my Google Docs everyday when checking and looting accounts:

As you can see I have everything from my account login to my total amount of gold made. Keeping track of your membership and account gold will vastly improve your chances of being successful while gold farming. Remember don't be lazy this will pay off in the end, and keep grinding.
An example of some of the cells being filled in will result in your ending cells to look like this (This is from last summer when I ran my Tau GE Bot Farm):

Further more I also document what I need to do next time, and work towards little goals everyday which add up tremendously.

This is just an example of what you could do depending on what kind of bot farm you want to be running. Overall the more organized you are the better off you will be, if you are serious about making money gold farming you need to treat this as a real job, as you will be making real money. Mule your gold on Legit looking accounts and sell regularly with accurate gold prices, and do not get ripped off as lots of gold resellers will try to "low ball" your gold. I would highly recommend selling your gold to big time gold resellers as it will greatly reduce your chances of being scammed when selling. If you need help looking for gold prices, feel free to PM me as I document resellers average buy prices everyday.

      Hey Everyone!

I have been trying out many different methods for gold farming on OSRS with various degrees of success. I have some successful long term / higher level "safe" bots, and I have begun to experiment with "Suicide botting".
Just curious to know, with regards to gold farming, which option the community thinks is better / has had the best experience with?
      - High volume of suicide bots / low gp per hour tasks / low investment
      - High volume suicide bots / med - high gp per hour tasks / p2p with high initial gp investment to get started or high skill req
      - Long term focused bots following safe botting practices / med - high gp per hour targets / varying req / private or custom scripts
      - Long term focused bots following safe botting practices / low - high gp per hour targets / varying req / public scripts
      - EDIT:  Combination of the above methods for a balanced overall gold farming system

Let me know your thoughts! - No specifics related to your private botting tasks / methods required

Fluffee's TRiBot Proxy Adder v1.00 (Coded in AutoHotKey)
To coincide with my proxy guide, which you can see here: https://tribot.org/forums/topic/62766-tutoria-fluffees-ultimate-guide-to-botting-part-two-all-about-proxies/
Like my Account Adder, this will allow you to automate the process of adding proxies to TRiBot. However, it only works on Windows. To run the program, create a text file for your proxies formatted as follows:
      Proxy Name,proxy:port,username,password
      (e.g. Test Proxy,192.168.1.1:1080,username,password)
      To start the bot:
Load up Fluffee's TRiBot Proxy Adder.exe, or .ahk whichever, insert the full path to your files (i.e. C:\Users\John\Desktop\Accounts.txt)
Then hit start, and wait for the Message Box to appear saying the script is finished! From there, open up TRiBot and check to see if your proxies have appeared in the loader (which they should've). The proxies will also appear inside the client Proxy Editor, however, you may need to open a Client, then restart TRiBot!
Message me with any problems you have, it does work! Well it should anyways!

    • [READ TO THE END FOR A TEASER]

I've noticed some new TRiBotters have had some troubles finding out sources of how to do certain things, such as using advanced scripts and often get lost in the forums.

We are still getting posts asking where to start, what to do, recommended scripts, etc.

As many of you know, I am new to the team, and had troubles myself learning how to bot, let alone script.

So, what our team decided to do was make it easier to learn how to bot, how to script, and just become an overall better botter and scripter faster.

As some of you might have seen, I've posted 3 new blogs, you can check it out by clicking on the following picture or here.

These first 3 blogs are the first of many blogs that will be TRiBot official. They are encouraged to be challenged, improved upon and act as A Best Practices Guide for Botters.

What information would you like to see in the blogs?

    • Today marks a big day for TRiBot! To make it easier for users to use TRiBot, we've created installers available for every platform! These installers are all bundled with the latest version of OpenJDK 1.8 (Java 😎, which is LG compatible.

Using TRiBot is now easy. Simply download the installer for your platform, install TRiBot, and run it. The TRiBot Loader will correctly identify the bundled JDK so there's no need to change the Java selection.

      Windows

      EXE installer: TRiBot-windows-x64-4.0.3.exe

      MSI installer: TRiBot-windows-x64-4.0.3.msi

      Portable version: TRiBot-windows-x64-4.0.3.zip

      Mac OS

      Installer: TRiBot-macos-4.0.3.dmg

      Portable version: TRiBot-macos-4.0.3.tgz

      Unix/Linux

      Installer: TRiBot-unix-4.0.3.sh

      RPM installer (CentOS/Fedora): TRiBot-linux-4.0.3.rpm

      DEB installer (Debian): TRiBot-linux-4.0.3.deb

      Portable version: TRiBot-unix-4.0.3.tar.gz

      Platform Independent

      JAR file: tribot-loader-4.0.3.jar

Note that this jar file does not include the bundled JDK.

Windows and Mac OS users may notice a warning message stating that the installer/application is un-recognized or un-trusted. Please ignore this message and proceed with running the installer/application. We need to acquire a code signing certificate so that we can sign the installers letting the operating system know that these files can be trusted. It will take a week or more to acquire one, so please hold tight.

Other notable changes to the TRiBot Loader:

Support getting the version from OpenJDK distributions

      Add check for bundled JDK

Copy OpenJDK tools.jar to the bundled JDK if not present

Set the current java as the first available list entry

Ignore Java versions which are symbolic links

Make the bundled JDK the preferred Java version

      Update icon images

Reduce the number of HTTP calls

    • TRiBot is looking to improve a lot of its customer relationship management, customer on boarding process, customer experience, design elements, community engagement and pretty much everything else you can imagine when it comes to marketing.

Our goal: To ensure that the marketing done TRULY reflects the experience and does not shine an inaccurate light on what TRiBot is lacking in.

So I ask, what do you love about TRiBot and what do you hate about TRiBot? What does O S Bot, Rune M8, PowR Bot and Dre amBot do better? (yes I purposely didn't spell it right 😂).

      Love,

    • Hello TRiBot,

Today we have a significant release that has been in the works for the last month addressing several key issues, features and bugs in the backlog.

With these changes, we are also including a new TRiBot Loader which will allow you to select any version that is released. This adds the flexibility of allowing you to revert to a previous version should an issue arise, run development only builds, view an accurate change log between versions etc. we are very proud to offer this feature and think it will add a lot more functionality down the road as we continue to release new versions.

These changes include 80+ commits by our development team, a list of them is summarized below and also available for your viewing pleasure in the new TRiBot Loader.

In addition, we have taken additional steps to improve as a development team by adding continuous integration and deployment into our workflow to assist in delivering timely releases such as bug fixes as well as new features on a weekly basis depending on our development cycle.
