Something interesting...

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

Not sure if my thought (theory) is correct though, but i just recently got banned for 2 days [Bot Busting Moderate (ban)].

I was botting nats 24/7 -"ExRuneCrafter Lifetime"- (only got to roughly 1 week) - It was a flawless bot!.

Anyways not here to complain about my ban, i know i did screwed up, but wanted to warn all of you guys.

So yesterday i woke up and i found my bot randomly just outside Varrock West bank...I was thinking to

myself how on earth did it end up here? My bot continued to run for 4hrs clicking on the same place.

I completely ignored this and continued to bot.

And the day after (today) when my bot re-logged back in from a break i received a ban.

I think moderators are teleporting possible botters to random places to see if they screw up, i clearly did.

Just a quick question.

Is it too risky for me to continue botting even if i stop for a bit after my ban?

and has my IP been flagged?

Kind regards,

Player of 07.

Sorry to hear about your ban mate.

Yes, botting after a 2 day ban makes that account quite subjective to a permanent ban.

Start using proxies from now on as it seems your IP would be flagged now.

proxies are not required for any reason, i've had hundreds of bans and my bots still last long enough, while botting long hours. proxies have only ever increased my banrate. your own ip is almost always the best solution, unless you're goldfarming with diffrent methods at the same time. when goldfarming with diffrent methods, use 1 proxy PER METHOD, most of the accounts your using for the same method will get banned at the same time anyway. Proxies help you to protect your bots from cross method chainbans.

TLDR.

You know, Tribot already had a problem last year with proxy sellers literally lying about how proxies work to scare users into handing them money. It's very sad to see it popping up again. You've been on this forum long enough to know that's not even close to true.

In my experiences with gold farming and botting in general, I've evaded bans longer utilizing one proxy per RS account compared to using a single IP for every account. I personally believe they blacklist IPs that have been associated with macoring. Why I believe this is because if you would use proxies that have already been well used and try to make a new RS account, it will disconnect you somewhere in Tutorial Island and say your account is locked.

It says on Runescapes website that they give botters multiple chances.

From all the posts I've seen on the forum, the only ones who get IP-Flagged are mass goldfarmers. I'm talking 10+ bans. Sometimes it takes 50+ bans according to some people.

I've had the same, exact experience as these users with my IP. You never get flagged after 1 or 2 or even 3 bans.

I guess your statements aren't invalid, but they contradict most, if not all, of the experiences posted by non-proxy sellers.

Regardless of your belief, if you go around posting predatory advertising, just be prepared to get quoted by people like me in every thread.

Lol did you even check if my proxy shop was active? You didn't even fully review what claims you are spewing because my shop is quite inactive as TriBot is too small of a market for myself. You assumed I was currently selling proxies and that I commented to prey on members of this community to solely financially benefit myself, which is tremendously false and quite insulting. My true intentions in commenting in the first place was to provide information that helps me evade bans from Jagex, which I was hoping could be utilized to help a member.

For future references, I'd advise for you to actually review and come to an educated conclusion of what someone's real intentions are before saying I am practicing "predatory advertising" when my shop isn't even active or open.

Good day.

PLEEEEEEEEASE stop bringing this up. It is completely irrelevant, especially if actually quoted, in context. The website says that if you happen to break the rules, resulting in an account being banned, creating a new account is allowed, as long as you agree to follow the rules on your new account. That does not mean they aren't monitoring to make sure you actually do follow the rules like you agreed by creating the new account.

My main with 97 runecrafting was just perm banned a month ago, I did receive a 2 day ban first. I would recommend using proxies from now on... I'm wish I did..

Proxies would have made no difference in this situation unless you had many other accounts botting on the same IP.

The only reason I use proxies is because I believe having more than 3 accounts on the same IP leads to Jagex investigating. Since keeping 1 or 2 accounts per proxy, I've gone a month now with 0 bans.

They monitor everyone. They have anti-bot software. That's the point of software. It's the point of having god damn computers to start with. They automate things. Everyone is being monitored the same. Yes, maybe it's easier to get banned if you've had previous bans on your IP; it's possible, but there is absolutely no evidence whatsoever to back it up.

However, there is evidence in half this forum that suggest Jagex uses anti-bot software. This biggest one being when is the last time anyone has seen a jagex mod walk up to your account and ban it? How about the fact that hundreds of bots get banned per day?

Do you really think they have a moderator go through the millions of RS accounts every day to flick on and off the "monitor this guy" button?

Makes a lot of sense.

I'm sure mod weath sits there all day monitoring the 10,000 IP addresses with bans on them. That makes so much sense. Why didn't I think of such a time-saving method of antibotting? I must be a complete moron for thinking RS had software developers to automate incredibly basic tasks like making sure the antibot software works for everyone.

For someone who prides himself in the knowledge of mathematics and theorycrafting, you can't seem to grasp what a computer can even do. Perhaps you should just work on what we all are, instead of playing the "underdog" who is most definitely right about everything just because no one thinks like you do.

Seriously, you try to poke the smallest holes in anything I say. The sad part is, you're poking at air. Because what I say isn't fact. What I say is not law. I do my best to interpret the data I see on this forum. I look it up very often, and try to cite it as best I can. If you don't like it, you have to either interpret it in a better way, or give new evidence, because all you're doing is giving a bunch of  "what ifs", and then take pride in your false belief that you accomplished anything except confusing new users and annoying productive ones.

    • Today marks a big day for TRiBot! To make it easier for users to use TRiBot, we've created installers available for every platform! These installers are all bundled with the latest version of OpenJDK 1.8 (Java 😎, which is LG compatible.

Using TRiBot is now easy. Simply download the installer for your platform, install TRiBot, and run it. The TRiBot Loader will correctly identify the bundled JDK so there's no need to change the Java selection.

      Windows

      EXE installer: TRiBot-windows-x64-4.0.3.exe

      MSI installer: TRiBot-windows-x64-4.0.3.msi

      Portable version: TRiBot-windows-x64-4.0.3.zip

      Mac OS

      Installer: TRiBot-macos-4.0.3.dmg

      Portable version: TRiBot-macos-4.0.3.tgz

      Unix/Linux

      Installer: TRiBot-unix-4.0.3.sh

      RPM installer (CentOS/Fedora): TRiBot-linux-4.0.3.rpm

      DEB installer (Debian): TRiBot-linux-4.0.3.deb

      Portable version: TRiBot-unix-4.0.3.tar.gz

      Platform Independent

      JAR file: tribot-loader-4.0.3.jar

Note that this jar file does not include the bundled JDK.

Windows and Mac OS users may notice a warning message stating that the installer/application is un-recognized or un-trusted. Please ignore this message and proceed with running the installer/application. We need to acquire a code signing certificate so that we can sign the installers letting the operating system know that these files can be trusted. It will take a week or more to acquire one, so please hold tight.

Other notable changes to the TRiBot Loader:

Support getting the version from OpenJDK distributions

      Add check for bundled JDK

Copy OpenJDK tools.jar to the bundled JDK if not present

Set the current java as the first available list entry

Ignore Java versions which are symbolic links

Make the bundled JDK the preferred Java version

      Update icon images

Reduce the number of HTTP calls

    • TRiBot is looking to improve a lot of its customer relationship management, customer on boarding process, customer experience, design elements, community engagement and pretty much everything else you can imagine when it comes to marketing.

Our goal: To ensure that the marketing done TRULY reflects the experience and does not shine an inaccurate light on what TRiBot is lacking in.

So I ask, what do you love about TRiBot and what do you hate about TRiBot? What does O S Bot, Rune M8, PowR Bot and Dre amBot do better? (yes I purposely didn't spell it right 😂).

      Love,

      RileyZ

    • Hello TRiBot,

Today we have a significant release that has been in the works for the last month addressing several key issues, features and bugs in the backlog.

With these changes, we are also including a new TRiBot Loader which will allow you to select any version that is released. This adds the flexibility of allowing you to revert to a previous version should an issue arise, run development only builds, view an accurate change log between versions etc. we are very proud to offer this feature and think it will add a lot more functionality down the road as we continue to release new versions.

These changes include 80+ commits by our development team, a list of them is summarized below and also available for your viewing pleasure in the new TRiBot Loader.

In addition, we have taken additional steps to improve as a development team by adding continuous integration and deployment into our workflow to assist in delivering timely releases such as bug fixes as well as new features on a weekly basis depending on our development cycle.

    • Over the last three weeks, I've been working on upgrading our server infrastructure. It's finally ready and is now live!

      Why?

Increased reliability - less server errors

      Increased availability - less downtime

Increased security - keeping us and you secure

Increased capacity - ability to serve you better

Increased speed - less waiting for things to load

Faster development - server and service updates will come faster

      What are the changes?

Move from a single AWS EC2 instance to AWS ECS (Elastic Container Service)

      Distributed computing

      Load balancing

Git management of server files and filesystem

      Redis caching

      How?

AWS ECS (with 10 EC2 instances)

      AWS ElastiCache (Redis)

      AWS Load Balancing

      AWS EFS (Elastic file system)

Please bare with us as I continue to tune the server for maximum performance. Slow loading speeds may occur temporarily. I thank everyone for their patience.

Please post on this thread if you experience any issues other than slow loading times.
