Bought RuniteRockCrabs on 26 Apr 2015. Haven't been able to even use it yet because the paint freezes.

Recommended Posts

I've posted on the thread and PM'd Runite and haven't heard a word from him and according to his profile he hasn't been active on the forum in over 10 days? I haven't got to use this script yet because the paint freezes up as soon as I start the script and legs TriBot to the point that it will not do anything or show any display.

What do I do now? Are there settings that I can change to make this work? Can I just get my money back if he's not going to be of any assistance?

  6. Details of what exactly is wrong with the script, please supply any debugs or evidence you may have as well: The paint freezes up and the bot literally will not function.

Update. It now seems that the script only shits the bed when I am in combat with the rock crabs. I started the script while I had lost aggro and it ran smoothly until a rock crab attacks me.

It has only been 4 days, this is not valid yet.

We can just pretend that I haven't submitted it yet and revisit it tomorrow. I have been busy lately and wasn't sure if I was going to be out of town or not so I wanted to make sure I got the post in before the 14 day limit. Figured 1 day early wouldn't be that big of a deal.

Anyway, I updated the description of the problem to add in that this issue only occurs when I am in combat with the rock crabs. I am testing another account on another combat script now to see if it is when any combat is initiated but I have to make the account first since this is the only one that I bot on that hasn't gotten banned.

Confirming that the in-combat lag is only when running the RuniteRockCrabs script.

@J M C

It has now been 5 days and this guy hasn't been active on the forums in 11 days... and I have seen disputes in the past that involved him not being active.

That being said... Is there something that I can possibly do to try to fix this? Still a little bummed about having wasted 5 days of auth time on this script, but if I could get it actually working it would be ideal.

Select old paint setting in the script GUI before starting script.

Already done this. Doesn't change anything, it still lags when I get in combat. This was the very first thing I tried.

So far I have tried New/Old paint, changed heap sizes to 512 and 756 and I've ran this as my only active script with 1 applet open and it still lags when I get in combat. I've also tried adjusting it between AFK mode and normal attacking and it still lags when a rock crab attacks me.

It runs the rest of the script just fine. Gets from Camelot to the island perfectly fine... until something attacks me.

turn afk mode on too. i've tried the script and it does not lag like you said, even when lag its only for a slight half second. you can make a video on this? ty

@RuniteRocks @Usa

Can you see this video? Excuse my crude editing skills. I will now add that this "lag" occurs even when using the looking glass client. I currently have the looking glass client open running a simple afk script from the repository and there is no lag or issues at all... Only with this script.

    • Hello everyone,

Last week we tried to roll out Auth0 Login, but we lost that battle. Now it's time to win the war!

      Important changes

When logging into the client, you'll now have to enter your Auth0 account credentials instead of your forums credentials

Note: 2FA is still handled through your forums account (for the time being)

      Changes for existing users

You'll have to link your Auth0 account to your forums account here: https://tribot.org/forums/settings/login/?service=11

Auth0 accounts have been created for most existing users. Please use your forums email address and password to login.

      Important notes

Make sure to verify your email address upon creating a new Auth0 account

When we mention your Auth0 account, we mean your account used for auth.tribot.org as displayed below

    • To better support the upcoming changes (TRiBot X, new repository), we're switching our login handler to Auth0. Instead of logging in with the standard form, you'll now be required to login through our Auth0 application.

All existing accounts which have been used within approximately the past year have been imported into Auth0 using the same email and password combination which has been stored on the forums.

What does this mean for users?

Your account credentials are now even more securely stored

You'll be able to login via Facebook, Google, and others in the future

Is there anything users have to do differently now?

Existing users: You'll have to login with the standard login, open your Account Settings, then link your Auth0 account

New users: You'll be redirected to our Auth0 app (auth.tribot.org) where you'll be able to create an account

      Why was this change made?

The new apps we are creating (such as the new repository) aren't able to use the forums to handle user logins

To centralize all user accounts in one area

To ensure that the client login doesn't go down when the forums are having problems

      To speed up our development

      Other considerations

There's no documentation or official support for using Invision Community combined with Auth0, so there are still a few kinks we're working out

We're in the works of creating an account management panel specifically for Auth0 accounts (ETA August)

It's not possible to change email addresses for the time being (this will be resolved this August)

Changing passwords is a weird process for the time being. To change your password, you'll have to use the "Don't remember your password" tool on the Auth0 login page

    • Over the past month, we've been working hard on TRiBot's new repository - a much needed update. This change has been deemed necessary for TRiBot X, and will allow us to really speed up development of all aspects of TRiBot.

Today we are going to share what we've been working on!

Now you must be wondering what kind of features the new repository will have.... well, you'll have to be patient for a little while longer. We're still figuring out various technical aspects so we can't provide answers to all possible questions. We're also focusing on development rather than writing about it so that everyone can get access to our latest developments at lightning speed. I will however answer a few users' questions.

We're planning on a release of this early to mid August, giving users some goodies before TRiBot X's release.

Thank you all for being patient. I hope everyone is excited as much as I am!

    • Over the past few months, I’ve been working diligently on a new project - TRiBot X. Everything has been written from the ground up, with all of the best practices of software engineering. Every aspect of TRiBot has been re-imagined to support three main goals: flexibility, useability, and reliability.
