I need a moderator to explain this to me

Recommended Posts

https://tribot.org/forums/topic/43632-my-friend-mccune/

I report a user because they chargedback $300 USD from me, plus a lot more from Bawsz and Probemas totalling around $2000.

The rules of Tribot state;

No Scamming

- Do not chargeback when you received what you paid for.

It is decided that the user gets a TWC because its 'off-site'? Where do I find this mystery rule? By that logic Violent should have never been banned. By that logic I could scam every person who orders from/sells to my website and it wouldn't matter here.

And then today, the user posts a gold selling thread https://tribot.org/forums/topic/44440-mccunes-gold-farm-shop/ which is a joke since he has $2000 of outstanding debt to three users on this forum.

I posted on the thread that he scammed me for $300, and other users for more. Which is the honest truth, and the post gets removed by a moderator?

I am very much looking forward to a response.

Our open market is secondary to the products we provide to users, if a TRiBot member has scammed someone in relation to and/or utilizing TRiBot forums/etc. then we will take action.

TWC's (Trade With Caution) can be given on individual cases.

Edit: In plain text, we're not going to ban a user who's spent money towards TRiBot securing VIP/Scripts/etc. just because you had some sort of bad deal/disagreement on another forum. We are not labeling ourselves as the "Runescape Black Market World Police"

A "No Tolerance" Policy Regarding Previous/Rampant Scammers

I don't agree, but that's an Admin "addressing" the issue, at least.

"By that logic I could scam every person who orders from/sells to my website and it wouldn't matter here."

You advertise your website here, which makes you liable for scams via your website. But, there should definitely be something in place regarding scams. Time since scam, any initiative to pay the TRiBot user back, and how much the user scammed. As you've stated, that is an outstanding debt that deserves more than a TWC from my point of view. However, like USA said, TRiBot is not the "Runescape Black Market World Police". Perhaps a vote, ultimatum, something of the sort should be handled by the scammer/scammed in a dispute here to solve the issue between the two, so that the black market is still safe, yet not 'police-like'.

We dont handle off-site disputes, we are not the world police. You are a trader by nature and it is not surprising that you had a negative trade with a user. TRiBot is a client first and a market second and we don't restrict users from using services they paid for.

TWC's are warranted on select cases at Staff discretion.

If you are seeking justice, return to the forum where the trade occurred and post there.

  • Our picks

    • Over the past few months, I’ve been working diligently on a new project - TRiBot X. Everything has been written from the ground up, with all of the best practices of software engineering. Every aspect of TRiBot has been re-imagined to support three main goals: flexibility, useability, and reliability.

    • TRiBot is looking to improve a lot of its customer relationship management, customer on boarding process, customer experience, design elements, community engagement and pretty much everything else you can imagine when it comes to marketing.

Our goal: To ensure that the marketing done TRULY reflects the experience and does not shine an inaccurate light on what TRiBot is lacking in.

So I ask, what do you love about TRiBot and what do you hate about TRiBot? What does O S Bot, Rune M8, PowR Bot and Dre amBot do better? (yes I purposely didn't spell it right 😂).

      Love,

      RileyZ

    • Over the last three weeks, I've been working on upgrading our server infrastructure. It's finally ready and is now live!

      Why?

Increased reliability - less server errors

      Increased availability - less downtime

Increased security - keeping us and you secure

Increased capacity - ability to serve you better

Increased speed - less waiting for things to load

Faster development - server and service updates will come faster

      What are the changes?

Move from a single AWS EC2 instance to AWS ECS (Elastic Container Service)

      Distributed computing

      Load balancing

Git management of server files and filesystem

      Redis caching

      How?

AWS ECS (with 10 EC2 instances)

      AWS ElastiCache (Redis)

      AWS Load Balancing

      AWS EFS (Elastic file system)

Please bare with us as I continue to tune the server for maximum performance. Slow loading speeds may occur temporarily. I thank everyone for their patience.

Please post on this thread if you experience any issues other than slow loading times.

    • This release will:

Fix prayers and world hopper API (Thanks @JoeDezzy1 and @erickho123)

      Improve banking API (Thanks @Encoded)

Adds methods for returning and using Java Lists, rather than arrays

      Slightly randomizes some hardcoded behaviour

Removes sleeps from waitConditions; the efficiency saving potential is negligible in these use-cases, therefore cleaner code is preferable

      Other back-end improvements

Note: If you are using LG, please restart both the RS client and TRiBot.
