I am Back

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone!

It's been a while since I was active here, proven by the 143 notifications I had upon logging in earlier today. At any rate, I would like to explain what has happened to me over the last several months. I'll make this as short and sweet as I can.

At any rate, everything started on June 5th, which was unfortunately my birthday. At midnight I had to go to the emergency room due to a massive stomach pain. The cause of the pain wasn't discovered until 3 days later when I went in for my yearly checkup. I was diagnosed with cancer. So that was fun.

At any rate, the purpose of this post isn't for a good story, so I'll just get to the point. I've been battling cancer for the last several months, and I think I've won (yay). So almost 3 months and one less ball later, I should be okay. I need to go in for a couple of checkups for some active surveillance, but the chemo should be done, which is good.

At any rate, that's about it. I actually recovered from my cancer a little less than a month ago, but have been moving to my new place with my roommate. You probably know him as Starfox. At any rate, it's taken us a while, but we're finally settled in. Mostly. Ish. Well, my computer is finally set up, let's leave it at that.

So that's it, really. I might post a bit more information below, because I know people get scared and don't read when they see long posts, so I'll keep this short. If anyone has any questions for me, let me know.

welcome back, its good to hear that you won your battle against the cancer, assuming that you are in your twenties, you are too young to die. i've known some people that never reached that age, cancer is fucked up.

I had just turned 19 when I was diagnosed, actually. Was a very scary time indeed.

Welcome back tacoman

Why thank you!

Welcome back, sorry to hear that cancer got to you. My mom was diagnosed with endometrial cancer 3 months ago and coincidentally just went for radiation today.

She isn't supposed to get chemo as far as I know. If you ever need someone to talk to message me.

Nice to see you back and hope you enjoy your stay.

  • Our picks

    • Over the past few months, I’ve been working diligently on a new project - TRiBot X. Everything has been written from the ground up, with all of the best practices of software engineering. Every aspect of TRiBot has been re-imagined to support three main goals: flexibility, useability, and reliability.

    • TRiBot is looking to improve a lot of its customer relationship management, customer on boarding process, customer experience, design elements, community engagement and pretty much everything else you can imagine when it comes to marketing.

Our goal: To ensure that the marketing done TRULY reflects the experience and does not shine an inaccurate light on what TRiBot is lacking in.

So I ask, what do you love about TRiBot and what do you hate about TRiBot? What does O S Bot, Rune M8, PowR Bot and Dre amBot do better? (yes I purposely didn't spell it right 😂).

      Love,

      RileyZ

    • Over the last three weeks, I've been working on upgrading our server infrastructure. It's finally ready and is now live!

      Why?

Increased reliability - less server errors

      Increased availability - less downtime

Increased security - keeping us and you secure

Increased capacity - ability to serve you better

Increased speed - less waiting for things to load

Faster development - server and service updates will come faster

      What are the changes?

Move from a single AWS EC2 instance to AWS ECS (Elastic Container Service)

      Distributed computing

      Load balancing

Git management of server files and filesystem

      Redis caching

      How?

AWS ECS (with 10 EC2 instances)

      AWS ElastiCache (Redis)

      AWS Load Balancing

      AWS EFS (Elastic file system)

Please bare with us as I continue to tune the server for maximum performance. Slow loading speeds may occur temporarily. I thank everyone for their patience.

Please post on this thread if you experience any issues other than slow loading times.

    • This release will:

Fix prayers and world hopper API (Thanks @JoeDezzy1 and @erickho123)

      Improve banking API (Thanks @Encoded)

Adds methods for returning and using Java Lists, rather than arrays

      Slightly randomizes some hardcoded behaviour

Removes sleeps from waitConditions; the efficiency saving potential is negligible in these use-cases, therefore cleaner code is preferable

      Other back-end improvements

Note: If you are using LG, please restart both the RS client and TRiBot.
