Why is Tabbing not Supported?

You'll have to open a separate window. OpenGL works based on a static process instance. It could be implemented with tabs, but the overhead would be so large that there is no benefit other than usability. Unfortunately, RS3 isn't the development priority so we likely won't see tabs implemented.
