Ultimate Paypal Chargeback Prevention Guide

Recommended Posts

Array

I guess it's a decent guide.. But the Part about gifts is 100% false. you can ALWAYS chargeback on paypal. ALWAYS.

the part about gifts is all backed up by the other stuff

if you havent done the other stuff/checks before taking a gift payment

then it will not work

No matter what you say or put in your guide, you can't prevent chargebacks. Chargebacks are for people who have had their payment information stolen. So take a wild guess and ask why you can't stop those.

Also, you can't just go to the bank and say "unauthorized charge". There's an investigation into this sort of thing, and paypal is asked for the IP used in the transaction.

Then why would you even take the payment as a gift? If you are in-fact conducting business via PP, you should use the proper channels, as you'd be violating PP's ToS (and would be more protected in doing so).

This method isn't bulletproof , I've charged back someone after 7 months of purchasing an item.

It's the wrong thing to do , but they removed my account from a lifetime paid service after 7 months , I charged back and got my 200$ within the same day.

Moral of the story, don't use paypal :L

Your not even allowed to trade virtual items through paypal as that breaks their TOS, so even using paypal as a start is not good but everyone does.

Sadly, at least half of the purchases via paypal are funded with a prepaid/credit card, so the buyer can easily

call his credit card issuer (Visa, Mastercard) after 1 week and ask for a chargeback.

We want to be able to face this situation and successfully counter-attack the chargeback.

I think if you have irrefutable proofs that

1- the buyer was actually the CC owner (ID scan via email + Paypal transaction ID)

2- you shipped the item (photos + videos + tracking numer)

and you show those proofs to Visa/Mastercard...you are good to go and the chargeback will be undone by the CC issuer.

Can this method work?

What more could Visa/Matercard ask you for, to prove you are right?

Hello

what does MM/OMM mean?

You mentioned it in the below paragraph

Using an MM/OMM will not prevent you getting scammed, the MM will not take the paypal money he will make the user send it directly to you.. so make sure you do your checks before using an mm for your trade.

Thanks Ben

    • TRiBot is looking to improve a lot of its customer relationship management, customer on boarding process, customer experience, design elements, community engagement and pretty much everything else you can imagine when it comes to marketing.

Our goal: To ensure that the marketing done TRULY reflects the experience and does not shine an inaccurate light on what TRiBot is lacking in.

So I ask, what do you love about TRiBot and what do you hate about TRiBot? What does O S Bot, Rune M8, PowR Bot and Dre amBot do better? (yes I purposely didn't spell it right 😂).

      Love,

      RileyZ

    • Over the last three weeks, I've been working on upgrading our server infrastructure. It's finally ready and is now live!

      Why?

Increased reliability - less server errors

      Increased availability - less downtime

Increased security - keeping us and you secure

Increased capacity - ability to serve you better

Increased speed - less waiting for things to load

Faster development - server and service updates will come faster

      What are the changes?

Move from a single AWS EC2 instance to AWS ECS (Elastic Container Service)

      Distributed computing

      Load balancing

Git management of server files and filesystem

      Redis caching

      How?

AWS ECS (with 10 EC2 instances)

      AWS ElastiCache (Redis)

      AWS Load Balancing

      AWS EFS (Elastic file system)

Please bare with us as I continue to tune the server for maximum performance. Slow loading speeds may occur temporarily. I thank everyone for their patience.

Please post on this thread if you experience any issues other than slow loading times.

    • This release will:

Fix prayers and world hopper API (Thanks @JoeDezzy1 and @erickho123)

      Improve banking API (Thanks @Encoded)

Adds methods for returning and using Java Lists, rather than arrays

      Slightly randomizes some hardcoded behaviour

Removes sleeps from waitConditions; the efficiency saving potential is negligible in these use-cases, therefore cleaner code is preferable

      Other back-end improvements

Note: If you are using LG, please restart both the RS client and TRiBot.
