TRiBot Rules and Regulations

Recommended Posts

The Point System

How it works

The warning system is our forum's way of punishing users who break rules, and it designed using a point-based method to mark a user based on the level of infraction committed.

Each point that you receive against your account counts as 5% of your "warning level," which can be found both in your user control panel and to the right side when you make a forum post.

Users are expected to have read these rules. "I didn't know" is not a valid excuse.

Point Scale

20 Points

  • Hacking/Scamming
  • Multiple Accounts / Account Sharing
    • You may not share accounts.  Anyone found giving/receiving/lending or sharing accounts, VIP or not, will be perm IP banned.
    • You may only have one TRiBot account.
  • Ban Evading
    • Ban evading refers to creating another account to avoid your punishment, whether it be a forum ban, mute, etc.
    • All accounts will recieve 20 points.
    • If you attempt to find other ways around being punished, you will also receive 20 points. Staff may use their discretion.
    • You may not have other users post for you EXCEPT to post the following:
      1. Scam reports
      2. Bugs in the bot client or scripts (Must post accurate logs of the problem encountered.)
      3. Donation/Voucher issues
  • Illegal content
    • Pornography
    • Drugs/Illegal substances in accordance with United States' laws

8 Points

  • Leaking
    • This is posting ANYTHING that you have not been given permission to post that is belonging to another member of the site.
    • Scripts and user guides mainly fall into this category, and more may be added on a situation influenced basis.
  • Plagiarism
    • You may never copy code from another scripter without permission. If open source, you must cite where you copied your code from.
  • Racial or homophobic slurs

4 Points

  • Disrespect of administrators
    • This is self-explanatory. You may not flame or disrespect site admins. If something doesn't seem fair to you, bring it higher or to another individual of the same rank as the offender. Feel free to share your opinions, but remember to stay mindful of your surroundings.
  • Advertising
    • NO OFFSITE ADVERTISEMENT AT ALL. (Unless you get admin approval or buy ad-space)
  • Mass spamming
    • If you double post a thread accidentally, change the contents of one thread to "Double post, please delete" and action will be taken accordingly, and you will not be punished.
    • Do not post a sale thread multiple times. Bump it!
  • Offensive material/Flaming
    • You may not post material that is racist or prejudiced in any way.
    • You may not "flame" another user. This refers to publically "calling out" another user and using disrespectful terms to address them or their character. If you have a problem with someone, private message them. If they are suspected to be breaking a rule, report them!
    • Accusing a user of scamming without proof publically falls into this as well.  If you believe you have been wronged, make a dispute and staff will take action.
  • Disrespect of any staff
    • This refers to ALL staff members. VIP, Donors and scripters do not fall into this category.

2 Points

  • Spamming
    • Spam is any post or thread that is not constructive.
    • This includes short messages that serve no purpose and are very minimal in expression and detail. If a user is asking for input and you reply with "don't do it," you will be punished.
    • In the suggestions forum, back up your reasoning. "No support/Support/Great idea!" are all examples of spam.
    • You may only bump a thread once every 12 hours. Bumping is defined as the same user posting twice consecutively. A "bump" post may be any length, and does not follow spam rules.
    • Double posting.
  • Offensive behavior
    • Staff may punish using this rule for any behavior that does not constitute higher punishment, but must still be addressed.
  • Offensive language
    • Staff may punish using this rule for any language that does not constitute higher punishment, but must still be addressed.
  • False Feedback
    • You may not leave feedback for any reason other than a transaction.

1 Point

  • Grave Digging
    • You may not reply to a thread that has not had another post in the last two months.
    • This does NOT apply to your own service threads. Service threads are scripts, graphics, sales etc.
  • Posting in the incorrect section
  • Failing to read announcements, stickies or other important threads
  • Advertising of services not allowed on TRiBot. (i.e. account sales)

  • Our picks

    • Over the past few months, I’ve been working diligently on a new project - TRiBot X. Everything has been written from the ground up, with all of the best practices of software engineering. Every aspect of TRiBot has been re-imagined to support three main goals: flexibility, useability, and reliability.

    • TRiBot is looking to improve a lot of its customer relationship management, customer on boarding process, customer experience, design elements, community engagement and pretty much everything else you can imagine when it comes to marketing.

Our goal: To ensure that the marketing done TRULY reflects the experience and does not shine an inaccurate light on what TRiBot is lacking in.

So I ask, what do you love about TRiBot and what do you hate about TRiBot? What does O S Bot, Rune M8, PowR Bot and Dre amBot do better? (yes I purposely didn't spell it right 😂).

    • Over the last three weeks, I've been working on upgrading our server infrastructure. It's finally ready and is now live!

Increased reliability - less server errors

      Increased availability - less downtime

Increased security - keeping us and you secure

Increased capacity - ability to serve you better

Increased speed - less waiting for things to load

Faster development - server and service updates will come faster

      What are the changes?

Move from a single AWS EC2 instance to AWS ECS (Elastic Container Service)

      Distributed computing

      Load balancing

Git management of server files and filesystem

      Redis caching

AWS ECS (with 10 EC2 instances)

      AWS ElastiCache (Redis)

      AWS Load Balancing

      AWS EFS (Elastic file system)

Please bare with us as I continue to tune the server for maximum performance. Slow loading speeds may occur temporarily. I thank everyone for their patience.

Please post on this thread if you experience any issues other than slow loading times.

    • This release will:

Fix prayers and world hopper API (Thanks @JoeDezzy1 and @erickho123)

      Improve banking API (Thanks @Encoded)

Adds methods for returning and using Java Lists, rather than arrays

      Slightly randomizes some hardcoded behaviour

Removes sleeps from waitConditions; the efficiency saving potential is negligible in these use-cases, therefore cleaner code is preferable

      Other back-end improvements

Note: If you are using LG, please restart both the RS client and TRiBot.
