  1. This tutorial will teach users how to reduce CPU usage. Client Paint Delay This settings controls how much delay TRiBot should give the client with every frame. The more to the left, the higher the FPS, resulting in more CPU being used. The more to the right, the lower the FPS, resulting in less CPU being used. MOST SCRIPTS DON'T NEED 40 FPS TO BOT. MOST WILL BE FINE WITH 4-10 FPS. NO, THE CLIENT DOES NOT LAG WHEN YOU SLIDE THE BAR TO THE RIGHT. THAT IS DELAY, WHICH REDUCES CPU USAGE. I recommend using between 40-100ms delay, depending on how good your processor is and if you want to save CPU. For my desktop, TRiBot uses about 6% CPU on average with 40ms delay. I'm not trying to run as many bots as I can, so I leave it at 40ms. Client Sleep Modifier The more to the left, the more CPU usage. The more to right right, the lower the CPU usage. This setting is hardly even used within TRiBot, so just leave it at 1.0. Lite Mode Use Lite Mode if you want to reduce CPU/memory usage. Minimize TRiBot When Not Interacting With It Minimizing TRiBot will lower the CPU usage. If you aren't interacting with TRiBot, please minimize TRiBot. Max Heap Size This controls how much memory you allow the Java Virtual Machine to use. Please do not use more than 256mb per client that you run. Ex: Don't use more than 256mb if you are only running one client. Do not use more than 512mb if you are only running two clients. Do not use more than 1024mb if you are only running four clients. Try using this formula for the amount you should allocate: 256MB + ((amount of clients - 1) * 128MB) Warning: This formula isn't perfect. The higher you set this value to, the more amount of RAM the Java Virtual Machine will use. If you give one client 1024MB of a heap size, expect higher RAM usage than you would when using 256MB. TRiBot does not directly handle memory usage and allocation. The Java Virtual Machine is responsible for handling memory, and in a very complex way.
  2. This isn't going to be comprehensive or backed by expert knowledge, it's just a few general things I learned from having a low performance PC in the past 1. Physically cleaning your pc - pcs collect a lot of dust and slow down the fans and suffocate your CPU making it run hotter, when it runs hotter your computer limits it's performance in an attempt to stop it from over heating. The best way to do this is get a can of compressed air, open your pc and spray all of the dust out. If you're really paranoid about breaking something you can touch grounded metal like a sink pipe or any metal that is grounded to discharge your static electricity lol. also try and keep your fans still when you're spraying them, having them spin from the compressed air could wear on the bearings Here are ways you should not do it: use a leaf blower, or a vacuum this risks the chance of creating static and messing up your computers motherboard, also do not get any water on it, don't try and clean things with a wet rag (obvious). 2. Tribot Settings - Visit this guide to tweak tri bot directly, I can attest that changing the client paint delay from 0 to 60 has made my cpu usage go from 100% to ~60% 3. Startup - Press ctrl + r and type msconfig and go to start up tab, this will control what starts up with your computer, a lot of times people's computers are slow because a lot of unnecessary programs start up. You can remove everything here unless you truly want something to automatically start up 4. Services - This step is similar to the last in that you will be removing more things that cause stuff to run on your computer. http://www.blackviper.com/service-configurations/ this link will show you what services are safe to remove, be more careful here then you were in start up because some things can actually mess stuff up. You can configure services by either going to msconfig and going to services tab and then checking "hide all microsoft services" this will hide all the important services that you don't want to disable. I recommend you search for "services" in windows and use that instead, black viper guides will go into more detail for all of this 5. Defragging - You can search for the windows defrag tool or you can download a third party one like https://www.auslogics.com/en/software/disk-defrag/, I use the third party one and use the options optimize & defrag, this will clean up your harddrive and make things load faster 6. CCleaner - You can use this https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download to clear cache and old unused files to free up space, it also has a registry scanner but in my experience reg cleaners do little to nothing when it comes to increasing performance If anyone has anything they want to add or clarify let me know
  3. When running tribot, it uses a huge amount of CPU and the fan is constantly running... is there any way i can reduce this? I use a mac, 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7 processor and 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 memory
  4. Hello Tribotters, Last couple of days i been focusing on optimizing my CPU on my botting PC's I found out some usefull information that i wanna share with ya'all 1. Run multiple tabs in tribot instead of multiple clients: 2. Close any program you are NOT using with the windows task manager sometimes programs keep running in the background taking up CPU 3. Disable Graphics on tribot client. 4. Disable any 3D settings in windows if you are using these. Hope this helped out, Please if you have more method's to reduce it post it below i went from a 18 client limit to a 24 one on this PC I know it isn't the longest guide but hopefully some of you found it useful.
  5. The point of this is pretty much to bring the issue of CPU usage to the staff's attention. From a different thread about this topic on August 11th, Trilez said he fixed it, but unfortunately it's back into overdrive again. Not to pester anyone but it's kind of annoying to see 4 clients taking up the same amount of CPU usage as 11 did in the past :/ Thanks
  6. Hey, I and I am sure many others have noticed that the tribot client after running for a few hours starts to become real laggy and uses alot more cpu then it used to use before. I didn't make a topic earlier because I thought it would of been noticed and dealt with straight away but it's been quite some time now and still no fix for it so hopefully this thread will help the staff fix this problem faster. This whole thing seemed to happen a few client updates ago, not sure on the exact one but around 2? weeks ago, if someone knows exactly when this whole lag thing started happened please let the staff know on this topic because I am sure it will help them out With some scripts the lag doesn't seem to be too bad (still pretty laggy but doable) while others become so laggy the client needs to be restarted because the lag is so bad. The client doesn't seem to lag once you start it, but a few hours after it has been started Before I could run 10 clients at a time on my computer with no lag at all, now when I run around 6 - 7 the clients start to lag their asses off If anyone has any other insight about this please post it in this thread so we can help the staff out as much as we can to get this fixed asap
